I've tried a few Asian and "world" groceries in the Quad Cities. I'm always amazed at the absolutely huge selection of items (including fresh and frozen meats, fish, and vegetables). The store is huge, and the clerks also speak English. They have items from several Asian cuisines, and it's the same name brand, authentic items you'll find recommended in Asian cook books and recipes.
Their prices are competetive or more reasonable than many others. Most recently I needed some simple wonton wrappers. Hyvee didn't have any, and Jewel only had some vegan wrappers for about $5.50. I found two brands and a couple styles here for between $2.50 and $3.00. I should have just come here first - - if they don't have it, it probably isn't available...
Read morei went here way back in january to cook for my friends and teach them about tet/lny. its wonderful having an asian market close by than the city. the woman who helped me was soooo sweet and helped me find everything i needed, even letting me know the best brands. i had only really remembered the brands my mother would get, and while i was there shopping and talking to her she treated me like a daughter. ❤️ they have amazing prices, and an amazingly clean/organized store compared to the markets im used to in chicago. 🤣 i mainly spoke to her in vietnamese, but her english was very good 😊 i realized i never left a review until today, and i am excited to stop in there again soon to get some mooncakes while...
