I believe in 2nd chances and I gave this place a chance this past weekend. The first time I visited, my boyfriend and I were the only table in the place. The waitress told us she was supposed to be done for the day but she would take our drink order. We both ordered a drink on their specialty menu. His was so-so but mine tasted like his with an extra bottle of lemon juice in it. (We ordered two entirely different cocktails). We then sat for twenty minutes before someone came back to our table. By then, we had decided not to risk eating the food so we paid for our lousy drinks and left. This past Saturday night, a friend and I stopped in. There has been so much buzz about this place so I was interested to see if it was any better than it was in December. We seated ourselves at a booth. The waitress immediately came over and wiped off the table and greeted us. She said she'd be "right back". After about 6-7 minutes, she returned. We ordered a beer and a cocktail. After about ten minutes, she returned to get our food order. We ordered. I went to the restroom (which was really nice) and came back to see no drinks, no napkins, silverware . .nothing. After sitting there another ten minutes, I looked at my friend and asked if he would be too embarrassed to just leave. He was very fine with that. We found our waitress and told her to just cancel everything. She said, "ok". As we walked out, we noticed there wan not even a bartender behind the bar. I would think that there would be 2 or 3 bartenders scheduled for a Saturday night. Because it was close, we went down to Frank's where the service was fabulous and the food was great. So that was my final visit to this place. Ive figured that our order would have ended up being $60-$70 which is entirely too much to spend for this type of ridiculous service. I just do not...

This is not The Palace that I first posted on a couple years ago and had been a regular at for many, many years. There is a new owner. The bar is completely remodeled, but still has the original bar and bar back, tin ceiling and tile floor. The kitchen has been moved to the rear and so have the smelly bathrooms. This place has a new ambiance, a new updated look but still kept its old appeal. Prices have changed as well as the menu. My go to is still their pizza, which is now being handled by a family and staff from an old Silvis favorite. I suggest a calzone from those peeps. But they also have a full side menu of other items that comes from being managed by another well known establishment from Moline that has another restaurant at The Bend in East Moline.

The high ceiling does make the sound level in there a bit noisy, but if you were usefs to the crowd, noise and music from The Palace years back before they closed, it shouldn't bother you. It is still a great place to have a drink and food and socialize with your friends.

I encourage you to go check the place out along with all of the other exciting up and coming venues in...

I’ve ordered on two separate occasions trying to give this place a shot.

The first time was a Friday evening and I ordered to go so I gave them a pass when the small pizza I ordered took 75 minutes, although I was given no warning of the wait when ordering.

After our dine in experience yesterday I’ll never spend my money at this establishment again.

We went with a party of 8 people including 4 children under 18 and they had 3 other tables in the entire restaurant. Our food took over 2 hours to hit the table from the time we came in and I had to ask our waitress to fill drinks multiple times as everyone was empty. When we tried to address the manager upon receiving our burnt pizza late he walked away from my wife.

Then when I spoke to him he began rolling his eyes, cutting me off, and telling me there was a big party (us) which made the kitchen fall behind.

I will never come back, they don’t deserve one star but google...

Excellently remodeled, food was phenomenal, prices were reasonably priced for the food you were served. Staff was very prompt, polite and friendly. General management even came out to say hello and listen to how pleased we were with everything. All wait staff was willing to do a group picture however I waited to long to ask and they got extremely busy. Amazing outdoor patio and band stage for live entertainment. The restrooms were in excellent condition and beautifully decorated. They did an amazing job with this place even the ceilings were top notch! I highly recommend going here to eat and enjoy the new atmosphere if you haven't. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

A few years ago I talked about the best new Restarurant in the QC. Well the mastermind from that kitchen is now masterminding it up at The Palace Tavern. Everything I’ve had there has been delicious. The Nashville Hot might be the best chicken sandwich on the planet. But it’s their new pizza that got me to post this review. I don’t generally like three of the ingredients in the South Pacific on pizza, and yet, I found myself wondering if I’d just eaten the best pizza I’ve ever tasted when I was done. When you’re done with this brand new pizza that nobody else sells, do yourself a favor and try anything else on the menu. You won’t be disappointed.

Met family members at The Palace. There weren’t a lot of people there, it was a Wednesday night. Outdoor seating was available and we took advantage of it. My food was a pork tenderloin sandwich, a Midwest staple. It was a great sandwich, tasted great, looked great, but it wasn’t exactly what I expected. It wasn’t pounded flat as a pancake and 6-8” around. But it was great and I loved it. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The bathrooms, in particular were sanitary and very attractive. I would highly recommend the Palace for a beer and pub fare. It’s a far cry from The palace I delivered newspapers to 60+ years ago!
