Bottom Line Up Front: We recently enjoyed an exceptional buying experience with H&H Appliance Center and wanted to tell you about it! Highly recommended.
My wife and I decided that it was time to replace our 15 year old GE Profile Gas Range and Microwave Oven. So off we went looking to find the best Value out there.
Actually, off I went, as my wife was completely satisfied with simply getting another GE Profile suite and call it a day. Spoiler Alert: We remained with GE Profile for both (so glad that we did).
So, I initially began searching online by looking at all of the Brands from Blue Star, Thermador, Viking, Bosch, etc., knowing full well that in Life, you generally get for what you pay. I saw price points anywhere from $1,000 all the way to $10,000 and beyond.
The available options are definitely overwhelming. So are the reviews of each that you will also find online.
At the end of the day, thoroughly exhausted from a several week search, I thought that a mid-range option would work for us – something like a GE Profile (Café), Bosch, KitchenAid, or Viking.
So, like most of you will, we came up with a Short List – a list of a couple of models that you would like to actually see and explore further. Like we did, you’ll probably go to one of the Big Box Stores to see what kind of a deal might be available. Unfortunately, we saw a very limited selection of available models from which to choose.
I then recalled a good friend once saying make sure you check out H&H. Our initial thinking was that since these guys are a specialty store in that they don’t sell plywood, paint, or lightbulbs and are focused solely on appliances, this would come at a premium price.
Wrong! From a pricing perspective, they are very, very competitive. And having them focused only on appliances is a definite Plus!
As we narrowed our focus, several factors were important to us that resulted in our going with H&H:

Product Knowledge What really sealed the deal was Mr. Jim Visco’s knowledge. Not only did he take the time to answer all of our questions, but, we could actually see each model in the showroom that was on our Short List. The H&H showroom is amazing. From an educational perspective, it’s definitely worth making the time just to stop by and see. You will not be pressured in any way.
Delivery & Installation Then, with delivery, since we needed two (2) separate kitchen appliances, we were planning on two separate delivery dates. Wrong, again! One day, same day for both. Their delivery Teams have been working with specific Installers forever – so, coordination between Teams is relatively seamless. We first had the microwave installed and 30 minutes later, our new range was also delivered and installed.
Delivery, removal of the old, and installation of the new could not have been any better. These Teams are very professional and know exactly what they are doing.
In the final analysis, for any future appliance needs, we will be going with H&H and not waste time at a Big Box Store.

Out of the four separate appliances that we purchased, three have had issues. The wrong refrigerator was delivered, the dishwasher was damaged and the wine fridge leaked. To make matters worse, the Customer Service Representative is only in on certain days of the week and when she is, she is not the most responsive or attentive representative. When she ordered the wrong part for the dishwasher (after having waited several months), she just wrote "sorry". I would have expected a phone call and more of a sincere apology. We are still waiting, so at this rate it will be close to Thanksgiving before all the errors are corrected and we started this process in July! I must say that the service representative that delivered the wrong part was very nice and expressed the appropriate amount of apology. It is too bad since we had obviously had much better experience in the past. 11/17 - Dear Nicole- since I wrote the review we encountered an issue with the Samsung oven. This makes four out of four appliances with issues. I have been dealing with Kenny and he has been very helpful, but we were scheduled for service on the oven today and not a word from Samsung. Of course, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we have no oven! Our hopes of celebrating our first holiday in our newly renovated kitchen are looking very dim. I am at a loss. I understand that Samsung is playing a large part in these issues, but nonetheless it is the worst experience all around. 11/29 (update) Well, we thought the service to replace the motherboard had resolved the problem, but as our continued bad luck would have it, the oven failed to work on Thanksgiving day! We had to scrap a 20 lb turkey and await response from Samsung on how to resolve this issue. H&H replaced the oven today, but not without chipping the soapstone counter (they were cautioned to be especially careful). Read moreI would not recommend purchasing your appliances here. There may be great customer service while they are trying to get you to buy their products, but once you place your order the customer service goes down hill from there. I ordered a full appliance package back in August 2020, that I was clear I didn't need delivered until October. With all the delays due to Covid, I was told I should place the order right away and, if they came in early, H & H would hold the appliances until I was ready for delivery. The appliances did come in early, however what I was told was that they didn't have room in the warehouse so they sent them back. Then when my October anticipated delivery date arrived, not all the appliances were available. I waited over a month for the microwave and 6 months for my range, which was finally delivered in Mid-April. Trying to get answers from the sales rep was difficult, we had to go to the store several times to ask for updates, we had to email and call repeatedly. The only answer we received was that they had no idea when our range would be available. When it was finally delivered, the installers didn't set the range correctly. It's a slide-in, but it doesn't slide back all the way. It's not level, nor centered correctly. They cracked the tile grout in the corner when trying to slam it into the space.
