I wanted to return an item that was practically brand new and had no problems with it. The only problem was that it was missing a wire to connect it to the packaging, but it was in good return condition. It was still able to stick on the packaging with no problems. I have seen many people return opened food packages and damaged goods saying they “did not like it”. Whereas there was nothing wrong with my item and I simply opened it and decided to return it.
Surinder was very rude when I tried to return the item.
I asked how she was and if I could return an item by looking it up on my card. She pretended to not hear me multiple times and kept examining the packaging. I then put the chip of the card into the machine to continue on with the transaction but she continued to laugh and allow the card to be declined before explaining I had to swipe. I put the chip in once more and it worked after about four different tried. She looked at the package and I explained that it was a phone case. She kept repeating that there were items missing from the package when it was just a simple on piece product phone case.
The customer service here has been known to be terrible. She denied my request to return the item whereas the person in front of me had returned a damaged item and missing various pieces from their packaging. This worker had done this simply because I appeared to be younger. I am tired of this same worker denying my request to return items. I always come in the next day when this worker is not working and am able to return my items with no problem. When I come at night to return my items, there is always some kind of problem.
The customer service here...
Read moreWe stopped by Walmart Auto department to ask about a car service. The person at the front desk named Cris whose badge indicated “lead leader” was first rudely telling another customer to call in to schedule an appointment, but she was standing at the desk texting instead of offering to schedule an appointment for an elderly gentleman who made the effort to come to the store. It was interesting that she told the customer to call in, perhaps, that save her time to have to work.
Prior to the visit Walmart I called ahead of time too and the phone kept ranging until an automated answering voice came up, then five minutes later, at 8:48 am (Walmart Auto opened already) I reached Walmart and saw Cris treating a customer badly and when it come to my turn the same attitude did not change.
A team leader should know how to resolve issues, if they can’t, at the very least they should know how to communicate with customers in a professional manner. Clearly Cris is not a team leader.
Luckily, a technician named Louis came out from the shop and was able to assist me. Louis should be promoted to be a team leader. He . Should the people who are knowledgeable and can assist customers efficiently, respectful, professionally be celebrated and promoted into leadership role to elevate and grow the business and Walmart reputation? Walmart needs to learn from Target on customer service and how to identify the right talent. You are expanding the store but neglecting about growing and hiring the right talent. It is too bad that Walmart has the capacity to provide an incredible range of products, but unable to train or hire impactful and...
Read moreDuring my visit I was racially profiled by an employee named ruphinder. She told me she was in charge of checking receipt's and wanted to make sure I bought the Item that I purchased/returned; a employee named, José, was actually in charge of checking the receipts at the front of the entrance/exit. However, Ruphinder watched me the entire time during my two purchases and returns, and watched me swipe my card each time. I confronted her very respectfully about the issue that made me feel uncomfortable and she began giving me multiple answers that didn’t make sense. Ruphinder did not check anyone else’s receipt at all. I even watched from afar if she would do the same thing to the other customers that are fair-skin, but she did not. I spoke to Minu (the team leader), who gave me the same silly response as Ruphinder. Additionally, Minu did not seem concerned about my feelings regarding the situation and seemed to be rushing the conversation. This was a terrible experience and it is unfortunate that she has done this to numerous customers of color and nothing has been done about this. I feel concerned for the employees of color and the type of treatment they may be receiving from their coworkers like Ruphinder. This location—East Windsor,...
