âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ A Hidden Gem for Live Entertainment!
Tonight was our first visit to the Broadbrook Opera House, and we were absolutely blown away! Despite having lived in the area our whole lives, we had never stepped inside this incredible venueâwhat a mistake that was!
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning exterior with its large wall mural. But the real surprise was insideâbeautiful woodwork, artwork, a fascinating collection of guitars, and so many unique details to explore before heading into the entertainment theater.
The seating is comfortable, though not inclined, meaning you sit directly behind the person in front of you. That said, visibility was still good from anywhere in the room. The sound system was fantastic, and the stage setup was excellent.
As for the show itselfâMama Mania was amazing! The energy, the music, the performancesâeverything about it made for an unforgettable night. We are already looking forward to coming back for more events!
While we didnât dine this time, we checked out the restaurant, and it looks inviting, so weâll definitely come hungry next time. Thereâs also a well-placed bar both downstairs and upstairs, making it easy to grab a drink without long waits.
The only small challenge is parkingâthe on-site lot filled up about an hour before the show, and this wasnât even a sold-out event. However, there are other parking options within a short walking distance.
Overall, we highly recommend the Broadbrook Opera House! A beautiful, historic venue with great entertainmentâthis place deserves to be on everyoneâs must-visit list.

Read moreIf you are a band or act you may want to reconsider performing here. Yes the room is beautiful However, the owner is extremely harsh and unwelcoming. My friends and I were guests at the opera house last night and the band put on a hell of a show. My friend and I walked down to the "green room" we were told upon arrival was the room for the band and their girlfriends to enjoy and relax in, the crabby owner lady walked in and immediately began disrespecting us and basically calling us children Kept strangely and awkwardly repeating for us to "go back upstairs with the adults" and was falsely saying that the "adults upstairs " were angry that the show started so late. The show started right on time, there were maybe 10 people at the show because the venue is located in the middle of nowhere. This woman also accused me of "pretending" I had to use the bathroom so I could "sit downstairs and drink all night" I didnt go to this show to sit in a quiet room alone and drink. I did not, nor did any of the band, DJ or their girlfriends, display ANY derogatory or drunken behavior and the way the owner woman talked to us was disgusting. I will never return nor tell any of my friends who are musicians to perform here. WAY too uptight of an owner and she sucked all the fun out of the vibe of this establishment. Rude and nasty attitude. My boyfriend and I left immediately after his DJ set because of this experience. If you don't like swimming, lady, don't open up a swimming pool. Your attitude...
Read moreMy wife and I went to see High Noon on Friday night and it was our first trip to the Broad Brook Opera House. The show was fantastic. The band even did a meet and greet for the fans after the show. I've never been to a southern rock show, although I've been listening to it as long as I can remember. They covered the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, the Marshall Tucker Band, and a few others.
Even better than the show was the house staff. As we had never been there, we had to figure a few things out. Where can we order food, drinks, do they bring it upstairs to us, etc. I started off with, "This is my first time here..." Four times I said this, four times the staff members greeted me with a big smile and a "Thanks for coming, how may I help you?" The Cuban sandwich and grilled cheese with bacon (what isn't better with bacon) were fantastic. They didn't have iced tea but the upstairs bartender suggested the Keurig machine downstairs for a cup of hot tea, and she would take care of the ice and raspberry vodka. They were all so accommodating and cheerful.
These days good customer service seems to be a thing of the past. That is NOT the case at the Broad Brook Opera House. We will be back...
