I have attempted to try this restaurant on 2 separate occasions and both have been a huge fail. First time was ordering on DoorDash. When I ordered the food, it gave me a window of 25-30 min but an hour later, it cancelled my order bc the restaurant was “closed.” Today, I physically tried to go to the restaurant at around 1:30/1:45pm but was told by the staff that they’re closed for about another half hour. If you’re closed then why is the door open? If you’re closed then why do your business hours online say otherwise? Let me state that I always jump at an opportunity to support black owned businesses but I can’t stand disorganized nonsense. And from what I’ve seen so far, and from many other reviews on here and Yelp, this business is super disorganized. Whoever is in charge needs to take the restaurant off of Grub hub, door dash and the other delivery apps for a while AND shorten the business hours to open the restaurant later. This way, they have the time to get themselves properly prepared to feed their customers without rushing and shooing business away bc they’re unprepared. They should allow themselves time to get established then revisit the idea of delivery apps once they are able to accommodate high volume orders in a short amount of time. I really want to give this place another shot bc the good reviews on here rave about how good it is but I never got to try it. I hope they make the changes to provide better and more consistent service bc we need a solid soul food spot...
Read moreI don't even want to give this place any stars after the DISRESPECTFUL SERVICE i received. I ordered food from this place and the sides we OLD as hell. I cant believe thought i would be getting some good carribean food but instead i was slapped in my face with old ass FOOD. Cant believe this black owned business would sell me old food for $15 . I will be calling the health department because you guys are selling OLD ASS 3 day food and should be ashamed of to even call yourself a carribean restaurant but hey i should have known with a name like "Karo-bean" what to expect. Read moreMy very first time eating from this restaurant and I must say I would rate higher if I could. I’m a big foodie and this food was AMAAAAAZINGGGG!!!! So flavorful and fresh. Well seasoned. I had the jerk fry fish and shrimp with cabbage, Mac and cheese and rice and peas. Great portions!!!! I asked for tarter sauce and I didn’t even use it. I was super excited already because I was craving some seafood and was referred to this restaurant.
I ordered from Uber eats and as soon as the driver pulled up he right away stated that “You will be eating good tonight” this place is great!!! Welp let’s just say that word of mouth is the best form of promotion because he definitely was right!!! This is my new favorite spot.
