I've been going here since 2007 (when they were still NEO Autos). I've been to a bunch of BMW service shops in CT but was never impressed by them or their staff. The staff at Munich really does go above and beyond for their customers. They started off with one small garage bay in the same location they're currently in. They could fit two-three cars and had a 2-3 man team. Now they can fit probably 8-10 cars and have multiple mechanics to help serve us better.
I want to really thank Aaron for his help over the years. Awesome guy, super honest, and was willing to show me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, and also explain how it might have gone wrong and how to prevent it. Never did he once up-sell me to perform other upgrades or to replace certain wear and tear items. How many shops do you know of that wouldn't want to make an extra $300-1500?
They're also really into racing. If you need a PROPER alignment, suspension upgrades, anything to make your car perform and handle better this is the shop to go too! I was even lucky enough to meet them at LimeRock Race Track and Aaron took me for a ride in their E36 M3 track car. Never have I had an experience like that!
They also have loaner cars available if you are getting big work done (i.e. not available for oil changes or basic repairs). The cars may be a little older (e46 and E36) but just driving them feels like they're brand new. I've even offered to buy the E46 325i because it still feels so tight and responsive even with almost 200k on the odometer.
Oh, and the shop now is really big. It's exciting for me to see how they're growing because I've been going there so long. Keep up the...
Read moreI have been going to Munich Motorsports for about 6 years now and they are the best for all things Bimmer. From the friendly, unassuming, and race-tested leadership of the owner Foad Ravazi who is an award winning driver, to their calm and collected service writer Liam, to the practical-minded, consummate problem solving leader of the tech crew Eric, the team at Munich stands at the top of the podium for serving both race cars and daily drivers. They helped turn my 2015 640 MSport Gran Coupe into a show stopper through a series of stage 1 and 2 tunes, while keeping me out of trouble with well-timed and thorough inspections and services. These guys deliver a lot of bang for the buck with shop rates and OEM parts pricing that beats all the area completion, especially the dealers who charge almost twice as much; AND they’re better techs. Now, they’re transforming my 2020 M850i coupe into the super car of my dreams. They just installed a Carbahn Stage 1 tune (they’re an authorized CarBahn shop) which resulted in a breathtaking 700+ HP and torque (from the stock 523 HP). I still can’t get the smile off my face. Then, they made it look that fast by working with Vertini Wheels to spec special wheels and tires, and by lowering the car to give it a perfect, but not curb scraping, stance; topped off w sinister-looking yellow motor sport DRLs (check out the pics on their site).
I could go on and on about my experiences at Munich, but suffice it to say, if you have a Bimmer and want to get the most out of it without breaking the bank, head over to Munich Motorsports. They’re the best, then there’s the...
Read moreWhat a great group of guys! I gave them a call to see if they would be available for an alignment on my 2010 RX8. Now sure, they are a BMW specialty shop, but I read such positive reviews that I just had to ask. Scheduled my appointment and the excitement built up. Come the appointment day, I pulled in and was welcomed and given a quick rundown of everything that they planned on doing. They let me know well beforehand that, although they primarily work on german performance, they would for sure take care of my request. Now for anyone who has dealt with the RX8, they will know that the alignment and track tuning is almost completely opposite of what would be done to a BMW. They assured me that they would work with me throughout the process, and would let me know before any and every change and every charge. I came in with my own alignment specs for autocross, and was soon pulled into the bay to discuss the alignment while they worked on the car. I was given tips on my alignment, tweaks, and recommendations. Not only was the alignment done with digital equipment as opposed to the usual archaic equipment you see in your local shops, but it was done with weight in the driver seat to simulate the characteristics of me in the car.... you would be hard pressed to find a shop around here that takes alignments that seriously. After all was said and done, we had some friendly conversation about cars, racing, and was even invited to a track day. Great group of guys, CLEAN shop, and responsible...
