Quality Product; Awful Service:
I arrived at this establishment on July 2nd. My first question prior to having any dialogue regarding a product had to do with delivery to a nearby town. They said they indeed deliver to the requested destination. We started discussing the product and I explained what I was seeking: a polywood swing; one color - weather wood (no two-tone); and no springs. An employee checked their inventory and stated that the frame is in the warehouse and the bench swing was only a few hours away. Additionally, one of the employees was headed to where the products are made the next day. I was told I could have the swing delivered POSSIBLY July 3rd in the afternoon, POSSIBLY July 4th as they were going to be open until 4pm, or POSSIBLY July 8th. They then began ridiculing me saying, "We've got the merchandise, does he have the money." They went back and forth like Abbott and Costello ridiculing me about the money b/c I live in a town that is noted for its level of poverty. I purchased the swing and A-frame b/c I liked the product and nobody else around sells it. On Tuesday, July 8th, no swing in my yard and not a word from the establishment. So I called and the owner started changing his tune saying he never said the swing could be delivered on those days; that it normally takes 2-3 weeks to get a swing in. I let the owner know that I was a bit disgruntled. He said the best he could do is call the following Thursday (July 17th) to update me on the progress after he visits the distributor once again. The call finally came and I was informed that the swing was going to be in Friday the 18th and that I could pick it up. I told him that it was set up for delivery. He said that was not the case. I reminded him of the very first question I asked and he denied I ever asked about delivery. He then said I would need to be charged an additional $40 for delivery and I began to barter with him due to their awful customer service. He refused to budge and said he would just scrap the order. I told him I wanted the swing but I shouldn't have to pay the delivery charge. He refused to budge again. So I paid the delivery fee. The swing was brought to my house the following evening and it was two-tone (Almond and weather wood), and had springs. I asked the delivery person about the color and he said that all their frames are either white or almond (not what I was told at the store); I asked about the springs and he said they were complimentary b/c of the issue with the order. Now I need to remove the springs and purchase D-clips that the chain will fit on. I like the quality of the swing, but disliked the way I was treated. They will say whatever is necessary to make a sale. I advise that you visit the store when they say the product is in so that you may see it first hand and verify you're getting what...

Have no INTEREST in the customer once they get deposit and tell you to call the carport company. EVEN THO THEY LIED to you. The carport company is great... They are SICK of the COMPLAINTS too.
