HARD avoid. so this place i feel is anti lgbt friendly, i have had THE WORST experience here as a long time customer for the psat 7, 8 years? i know they discriminate against gays and its NOT cool. also they had a OBVIOUS cheater who i called out but for some reason this place and bel air games have some sort of strange connection. bel air games FREAKED out when i even mentioned being 1 year banned. and they BOTH protect a known cheater who CHEATS against CHILDREN. it was kinda pathetic but i guess i assumed everyone knew. anywho this place USED to be great. i loved it. came almost every week. now i HARD AVOID this and bel air games.. very cliqhy and they arnt the friendliest to lgbt.

One of the best game stores around, Critical Hit Games has been going for a couple of years now and I've been lucky to have been a regular for that time. Whitman Bottiger is a shining example of a game store owner. Not only is he knowledgeable about his products, but he will also make honest recommendations even if it means referring you to another store or offering to order a new item.

If you need an introduction to a game he will take the time to teach you how to play. A marvelous teacher who has not only helped me improve my painting style but taught me to play a wide array of board games.

But he takes time with the customer as well, always checking the front to ensure that the customer that is just passing through is being attended to. Dividing his time effectively.

If you're in the Harford County area and are looking for a fun and welcoming environment I cannot recommend this...

Definitely a place to explore the world of gaming as a first timer or master gamer. Safe place for a dad or mom to introduce the kids to the world of gaming. (Unplugged and socially with other human beings!!!)

Went in looking for specific boxed game. Shop owner was very kind and helped me with my inquiry.

Shop is clean. Decent variety of boxed games and card based games both loose and In packs. I assume you could also special order as someone was picking up one while I was there.

Lots of table space to play various games. Well stocked citadel paint and basing selection. Owner was kind enough to share the game schedule with me. Different nights different games.
