It is with absolute pleasure and appreciation that I write this review post. My family and I have been part of the Dance Passion NJ “family” for about 14 years! When I say family….it is meant wholeheartedly. Not only is Ms. Iglika the most masterful professional in her field, but she is so kind and caring to her students and their loved ones. I’ll never forget how she was so present and a comfort for us when my grandmother passed away. In addition to being a talented and accomplished ballroom dancer, she is an effective teacher. She instructs all levels of dancing with such grace. My Mom and I look forward to her class each week! We truly feel very comfortable on the dance floor thanks to Ms Iglika’s expertise. Her assistant Ms. Jennifer is wonderful as well. We also have so much fun meeting and dancing with such awesome and diversely skilled people in our class. I have engaged with Dance Passion NJ for over 12 years now, taking classes in Salsa, Waltz, Bachata (and to a lesser extent) Foxtrot and Tango. I was a non-dancer to begin with, when I first saw a flyer for a Waltz class at the Edison YMCA. This is where I met Iglika, a master teacher, who took the nervous anxiety right out of the equation and had me doing the basic steps before the end of the first hour. From there on, it has been a exciting journey. The instruction style at Dance Passion NJ is to give individual attention to each participant. They build the moves from the basics, all the way to a routine over the courses which last 7-8 weeks typically. At the end of it, one can take that routine to a party or a dance club. I have taken classes from a couple of others over the years, but no one has come close to the efficacy of the teaching methods of Iglika and her staff.
