Some drivers in prior reviews were frustrated about the time it takes to get loaded. That’s understandable but I would give them some credit for the amenities they provide drivers. Comments from the facility in reviews seem to indicate that long wait times are probably staffing issues. My appointment was at 1pm, I arrived and checked in at noon, was in a door by 2, loaded and out by 4:40pm. I spent a few minutes of that time adjusting tandems before entering the scales. I didn’t think the time frame was unreasonable compared to some other places. When you enter, drive on to the scales and park. There is a kiosk to check in. You will either need your load number or the Bud Express app. Once checked in, just past the security checkpoint on the left is a drivers lounge and a restroom. On the right is where you park and stage until they send a text with your door number and a short video that explains their procedures. Back up to the door with tandems all the way back, doors open, chock tires, disconnect air hoses. I couldn’t find any chocks around there though. There is ample room to maneuver and back up. Make sure you have minimum 2 load locks. Once loaded, proceed out to the scale with your door open. The security will check to see that you secured load, seal it and provide your BOL. The scale is great in that it provides the weight of each axle(s), not just gross. Thank you to the facility for making drivers feel welcome with the lounge, restroom and dog park area! I hope no one messes that up...
Read moreFirst impression, gate check in, terribly inconsiderate to drivers who carry your beer loads. I arrived to gate/scale in a rain downpour, was expected to exit and stand in front of the check in screen for some time, entering screen after screen of information in order to check in electronically. This screen is located outside without any awning or cover, yet expecting drivers to spend up to 10 minutes navigating the check in. The screen then told me to open up the trailer for inspection. Ok, splash splash I opened the trailer and returned to the box, by this time soaking wet, only to find out that I was there too early for pick up and needed to go away until my apt time, which was 1-2 hrs later. Are you kidding me? you cannot afford an awning or any kind of partial cover for drivers to stand under while answering questions on a screen. Nor can you tell the driver to come back later before telling them to open up the trailer. I don’t have much hope for the loading part when I return at my apt time and this will surely be the last time I drive A-B load anywhere. I don’t need a lounge, I’m used to being in my truck, I just want some cover from the elements if you make me stand and talk to the screen for a while. You are focused on wrong priorities. I can’t imagine how it is during the...
Read moreAvoid this place if you are looking to make $ off a load . Very slow and disorganized. I unfortunately come here regularly due for the fact I’m a local driver. On 10-3-22 I had a 6 pm pick up and was told I could get here as early as 5 pm which I did and was shoved over to the staging area. It’s currently 8:07 pm and still no dock door . Normal load times when in a dock is 2-3 hours.update to this post 6/27/23… I had a 06:00 appointment arrived at 05:35 and now they have their kiosk back working so check in has become a lot better . Was told to wait in staging area til they texted with a door.was assigned a door and backed in at 07:45. I have to commend them for updating the drivers lounge. They now have sodas and food that drivers can purchase ( credit card payment only though). It’s a good selection in my opinion. For drivers with dogs, they have a pet area to walk your pooch and they even have dog treats and dog toys for your 4 legged companion to enjoy. Backing in is still a bit tight but overall they have really updated their procedures since my last visit in...
