Friendly staff, good selection.
After a couple years of United owning this store (formerly Beaches IGA), I am changing my review.
I used to stop several times a week in the morning to gas my car and get my drinks for the day. They have since started opening the service desk at 8, which is too late for me. If you want gas before then, you have to pay with card. They won't take cash for fuel before 8. Their fuel is also 0.10 to 0.20 higher than most places in town.
The wait times at registers are ridiculous. Before, if more than two people were in a line they temporarily opened another register. Now, the lines can be into the aisles, and they "may" open one. The sad part is I can now get out of Walmart faster and cheaper.
The aisles are smaller and packed with so many displays, that it's difficult to get around someone. The same at the registers... There are displays that make it difficult to get to the front of the register because you're forced to walk into the next cashier's area.
The staff is still friendly, at least the ones who've been there awhile. Several new cashiers don't even greet you, or say anything but your total now. Very disappointing for a customer of 25 years. I do most of my shopping in Yukon now,...
Read moreI would like to make a rebuttal to the review that Victoria just made yesterday about the employees at United Groceries in El Reno ok. I'm sorry that some people think they are the only ones in the world, because we happened to be busy that day, but a couple of employees that did see her DID acknowledge her presence. We try hard to be friendly and welcome here, sorry that we cannot catch every single person that comes through the door, but we do try our hardest. So I am insulted that someone thinks we are being biased or prejudice. People are people regardless of what they look like. Read moreI do enjoy shopping at this store but went in on 03/02/2022 and bought some hamburger buns. After getting home and taking them out of the bag noticed on the bottom of the buns a mouse had eaten a whole into the bag and ate some of the buns. We immediately returned them and was told this was the 3rd time that had happened that day. The management needs to fix their rodent problem immediately and not by having one of their employees set traps.
