November 2024 This is Mr. David speaking: We had planned on spending a half hour at the Canadian County Historical Museum by Route 66 and I-40. As it were, it turned out to be a full two hours,--and for good reasons. The ladies were perfectly delightful, and like the gentlemen, everyone is personally knowledgeable as to all exhibits which are beautifully presented on Facebook. Without reserve, the ladies and gentlemen generously shared personal insights through the fabulous museum, school house, chapel, canteen, hotel, barn & saloon, jailhouse, Rock Island caboose, General Sherman's base of operations, etc. We had traversed all of Oklahoma City, but for true American history, the Canadian County Historical Museum...

Normally, they have a tram you can buy tickets to ride, but unfortunately it wasn't available when we went. Still an awesome museum. We love visiting these types of museums on our travels.
