It's been a little over a year and my granite countertops now seem to have a dingy look to them instead of white. I wasn't 100% satisfied with my selection and wish I looked at more options. I'm not sure if what they had in the showroom was it but the options were extremely limited. I thought it looked good in the showroom but was disappointed after installation.
The installation itself went fine until the end. I have a long drawer in my kitchen that was working ok, not perfect but functional. When Granitepro left, they couldn't get the drawer back in. I thought it just broke but turns out, there was a screw missing out of it, which the installation guys didnt realize and didnt even attempt to fix it. It is now November 2023 and the drawer is still broken. I tried to fix it myself but it ended up breaking again. I got a quote on the repair and it would cost over $200, which is ridiculous considering the thousands I spent having the countertops installed. I managed to get the drawer to sit in place but it falls in when sliding so I can no longer use it.
Furthermore, I had to pay another contractor to fix the hole they left in the wall when removing the original counters. This may be just wishful thinking on my part, but when paying so much money for a home project like this, it seems reasonable to expect the company to leave your home in a BETTER condition. I signed the contract so that was my fault for overlooking that section during my initial read. I do believe they should have someone capable of plastering the wall, not leaving it to the customers to seek someone out and paying more money.
If all of that wasn't bad enough, the sink they provided is faulty. The faucet hose is defective so any time I try to extend the hose to rinse out the sink, it sprays water all over the place!! I had a leak in my previous hose, so was happy they provided a new one only for it to be worse than my old one.
I would recommend anyone shopping for countertops to look elsewhere.
This is my first home and first big project, so it sucks it turned out like this.
Edit: The company reached out and the CEO did schedule time to come out and take a look at everything. Let me start off by saying he asked me to remove my review PRIOR to actually coming. After looking at the drawer, he asked if I ever got it wet because it looks like water damage. Ive never gotten it wet so the next conclusion was it was never installed properly to begin with. I have no way of confirming that considering the place was built in 1997.
2nd concern was the hole in the wall and I was told the hole existed before the installation. I was told there is no way to know if there is going to be drywall damage until the installation. This issue doesn't matter quite as much considering I already had it fixed.
3rd concern was the discoloration in my granite. He told me its the slab I chose and no granite is perfect. He also said the reason for the discoloration was because I have both warm and white lights in my kitchen. So the side with the warm lights give it a yellowish hue. I find that to be ridiculous since the other side has the white lights and I still see discoloration. Some parts look white and some look dingy. It has gotten more discolored over time.
He concluded none of the issues are Granitepros fault so him coming was pointless.
Edit: I had to remove a portion of my review to address the owners reply. The $650 credit he is referring to was NOT to repair the drywall. I was originally charged for the demo of the old tile and installation of new tile. I didn't find new tile I liked so they issued a refund. It had nothing do with repairing the drywall. He just said they aren't responsible for the drywall damage but stating they gave me a credit to repair it? Completely false. It was simply money owed to me for work never done.
As for the faucet, while tightening did work, an employee told me this has happened on multiple occasions with different brands so just be mindful of that.

Read moreI didn’t tell my family I was thinking about granite Christmas of 2021 I did my morning research and passed several granite places to go to Eldersburg due to the Google reviews for granite pro when I showed up without an appointment I was greeted warmly by Sarah Duvall Who is the administrative assistant. After Sarah entered my basic information into the computer she assigned me to sales associate Kevin Hennigan Who looked at the sketch that I had drawn up with dimensions and he approximated square footage and talked to me about pricing . I was then shown to the warehouse with the granite slabs and was allowed to look at the stock at my leisure. After choosing a stone and conferring with my wife and son about it we chose typhoon Bordeaux. Kevin explained to me that I had chosen one of the higher grades and he adjusted the prices accordingly then it was time to send out the Templetter Who within one week of my initial contact arrived at my home with a very cool transit computer type gizmo that took all of the measurements precisely he added some cool ideas that I had not thought about regarding radius curves and was very considerate of where I wanted the spices to be. after this we were allowed to meet with the programmer to actually show him where we would like the stone to be cut to include some of its best characters and from there I swear it wasn’t three weeks before we had a scheduled install date where the work was performed flawlessly. I forgot to mention that during this entire process every time I called the office and spoke with Sarah I received an email with scheduling dates times and all details of what was to happen next we were so excited at the completion that the owner even wanted to come out and take some of his own photos which I did not get to see but I get to look at the beautiful granite every day
So several years later I decided that I needed a granite bar sink in my basement. I purchased some cabinets and installed them and took my measurements back to granite pro Sydney. Greeted me at the door Quickly saw that I was a past customer and I explained to her what I needed and she asked. Kevin if he could help Kevin took me right back to his office again I had no appointment. I showed him my sketch and picked out a remnant piece of stone outside. He gave me pricing and I had an appointment that day for the install fast forward. Ryan and Brad came out and just like before they knew what to do. They mounted the granite shimmed, caulked, mounted the backsplash, caulked and mounted the under cabinet sink sealed the granite. And when they left everything was perfect just as when I got my kitchen done. I will post pictures below thanks again...

Our experience with Granite Pro was, in a word, superb. In an age where "customer service" often feels like just a score, your team provided next level of service that exceeded our wildest expectations. We knew we were buying countertops, which look amazing, but we had no idea we were gaining a true partner in our project.
What we didn't anticipate was being blown away by the partnership we had with every single individual we worked with along the way.
The Product
The counters themselves are stunning. They are virtually a work of art. We used to use our counters as a drop-zone for mail, groceries, and backpacks, but these are so beautiful we've kept them completely bare just to admire them.
Our Salesperson (Kevin)
Kevin was phenomenal throughout the entire process. From our first meeting, he made it feel like if we could dream it, he would find a way to make it happen. We always felt supported and never felt pressured.
His engagement and excitement for our project was greatly appreciated. He would respond on his days off or apologize for a delay of just a few hours—a level of service we never expected but were incredibly grateful for. Whether that's just his personality or a savvy sales tactic, it works.
Office & Support Staff (Kayla & Sarah)
Every interaction with the office staff was a pleasure. They were helpful, kind, and friendly on every single call and email. The scheduling, confirmation calls, and coordination were all seamless and professional.
The Measurement Expert (Vincent)
The gentleman who came to do the measurements clearly knew his stuff. We had anxieties about how the stone would get in, whether our cabinets were level, and what would work in our space. He took every single worry we had away, answered all our questions, and gave us total confidence in the plan.
The Installation Crew
The install crew (I feel bad, I'm terrible with names, though they all introduced themselves) were true experts. They were extremely careful with both the stone and our home. Watching them navigate the larger slab was like watching a calculated, methodical operation. They communicated perfectly, motivated each other, and treated our home with consideration and respect.
Recommendation
Companies always ask if you would recommend them to a friend. Make no mistake, we are not just promoters; we are evangelists for Granite Pro. We fully intend to tell every friend who visits our home that they need to work with you. You haven't just earned a "10/10"—you've earned a loyal customer for...
