Now that they have a self check out, the old woman cashier tells people to go there, while she checks out her red neck friends. Most of the time it is very clean. Produce is hit or miss. Meats are packaged good most of the time. Just do not buy any reduced chicken because it is always slimey underneath the packaging. Only a few workers are friendly. Very hateful looking. In the early morning hours employees stand around doing nothing or are using their cellphones. Always one cashier. The rest hang around looking silly and they see the long of customers. Later in the day it is more professional. For this area the prices are average. Update: today was my first time in a couple of years going to this store. A lot has changed, new employees, possibly a new manager, the produce section and the meat section was a lot cleaner, the deli baked goods were set to expire the next day. Just always check the expiration dates on all of their products before you buy.Went in today to buy a ham at 99 cents per pound. The cashier looks at me, and grumbles " I'm gonna tell you this. The ham will only cost 99 cents per pound if you buy at least $35 worth of groceries". (Cashier fails to see packs of steak at full price that I will also buy..clearly the total will pass the $35 requirement. 1/6/21 The cashier who didnt have a mask on started to rant about why people chose to wear masks and gloves. Stating that she was taking a course at COA and decided to tell customers that they were just spreading germs around because her COA professor told her that. Since when did COA become Harvard? You do you and let everyone else do them. Mind your business and ring...

2 things about curbside pickup. Internet connection is not the best in this part of town for me as a T-Mobile and Verizon customer and sometimes I have to walk inside to tell them that I am here since they are not answering the phone when I call after arriving and parking in the to go parking spots. I usually call the curbside pickup phone number because my phone Internet connection will not allow me to use their website to let them know that I arrived and parked.
My initial review: Curbside delivery! Ordered online, we selected time to pickup at 4pm (which was hours later), minutes later, we received text message stating, Good news! Your Food Lion pickup order is ready early. Let us know when you're at the store [instacart URL]. Upon arrival at Food Lion, we clicked the instacart URL, completed the online form and the food Lion associate brought our food to us...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEveryone at this Food Lion store is friendly and if you need something they never act likes it is a bother to help.. Also a big "shout out" to Mark in the deli/bakery department... he took a cake order for me over the phone for my lil boy 3rd bday I told him what I was thinking of and he decorated the cake amazingly; he textured the frosting to look like green grass and the brown to look like dirt/mud and waved the blue for the water; I'm doing a dinosaur theme for him; by mistake the bakery did 2 cakes Mark did one an some one else did the other and I was able to choose which cake I liked the best; the other cake was Ok looking but it was mainly just frosting on a cake--Marc really went the extra step and made the cake "real"! No disrespect to the one who frosted the other bc I couldn't have done even that well without having a mess; but Marc paid special attention to the notes he took down and then delivered on it!! I'll definitely keep coming back to this FL store/location... not to mention the store is clean and...
