Terrible service. Went in to get an id for the 3rd time after getting the correct paper work for it. I go in and give them the paper work and say hey I just need to email one pay stub because the 2 pay stubs I have for different jobs are all i have. They Then proceeded to tell me their email takes 20 minuetes to get another email so I would have to come back on monday. I asked them to try and email it anyways and they refused. They asked if I had another other proof of address which I do and they said I couldn't use a medical bill as proof, and I could only use one pay stub anyways. They then asked if I had my car registration because i could use that as proof of address even though ny nane is nowhere on it !! Doesnt make sense to me at all. Especially When on my prior visit I was told I could use 2 pay stubs as proof. These women that were there had an attitude and didnt care at all. you could tell they didn't want to be there and hated their job. Worst dmv I have ever been too ! And terrible attitudes...
Read moreThe employees at the Elizabethton DMV are literally the rudest, most unprofessional you'll come across. I've lived in a lot of large cities with high volume DMVs and the employees there were still able to be polite and professional. Here in Elizabethton, where I was one of only two people in the entire DMV office, the employee was condescending, downright mean and couldn't be bothered with anyone. She wouldn't answer simple questions. I thought my experience there might have been unique but then I ran into a friend who was at the same DMV that same day and she said she too was treated extremely poorly and she witnessed the female employees behind the counter treat some elderly women from out of state (Florida) very poorly while she was there also. Ridiculous. Avoid this location. If you have to go, make it a point to complain to the manager while there if you are treated like trash. This is unacceptable and disgusting. Who runs this...
Read moreDMV stands for Department of Motor Vehicles, however in Tennessee you do not handle anything Motor Vehicle(s) at the DMV, they only handle ID's there and they make it very difficult to do anything / they definitely let you know they are in total power. Very rude. If you want to get any Motor Vehicle stuff done/handled you'll want to go to the Courthouse, niw that is the "Courthouse" and NOT the "Department of Motor Vehicles". Also, their vision test machine is filthy inside the machine on back of lenses and on the outside. They use a sanicom wipe/moist towlette that leave a residue and blurs what you see. I ask for a alcohol wipe to clean it and advised them of the filthy condition of lenses inside and out and they were rude and said nothing...
