We just discovered the Stateline Drive-In in Elizabethton and honestly, where has this place been all our lives?! It’s like we stumbled into a time machine and landed in the golden era of movie-watching—except with FM speakers and way too many snacks.
We’ve already spent a small fortune on our drive-in setup—pillows, FM radio, camping mattress, battery fans, bug spray that could take down a bear, and more blankets than a Bed Bath & Beyond clearance rack. Worth. Every. Penny.
So far, we’ve seen Superman and Bad Guys 2 under the stars, and both nights were memorable, relaxing and 10/10 fun for me, my wife and my 3 little girls.
This place is such a treasure for Northeast Tennessee—wholesome, fun, affordable (unless you start building your drive-in fortress like we did), and just plain good vibes. We’re already planning future visits and honestly? We might start putting “Stateline Drive-In Season Pass Holder” on our Christmas cards.
Can’t wait to make this a family tradition for years to come. Thank you for keeping the magic...
Read moreCame from SC to see a Drive In movie. We got here 2 hrs before the gate opened and about 60 cars were already parked on the side of the road waiting in line to get in. As we sat in line, we noticed cars pass us and they knew people in the car line in front of us. The people they knew were maneuvering their vehicle to a slant position to let these other cars pull in beside them. So, as we sat in line for 2hrs and started about 60 cars back, by the time the gate opened, we were about 80 cars back. So RUDE. No traffic control at all. Just a bunch of people who think it’s ok to cut in front of everyone else. Not the experience I was hoping for. HOWEVER….once we got in, the owners were wonderful. They can’t help rude customers. It was a great experience. I haven’t been to a Drive In, in many years. This was a...
Read moreOverall it was a good experience! We had a few things that would cause us to deduct a star. The restrooms were small and cramped. Its understandable since it is a small bathroom, but that is still a knock and the female restrooms are probably not ADA compiant. The screen and ticketing booth could both use a fresh coat of paint. The screen more so as you could see the spots where the paint was degrading when there were light scenes. The concession prices were good, but dont get the corndog as it is microwaved. The restrooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Grounds were realtively well kept and we had a good time overall. No issues with the FM station...
