I left one star due to not being able to leave negative stars. First off, I set up my install date using THEIR online system on July 2, 2017. I set up for install on July 10 as primary and then the 17th and 24th as back ups due to work schedule. Well the 10th came and no phone call, then I call them and they scheduled me for the 12th without telling me and for a time when I was going to be at work. So the 24th finally rolls around (and i had already paid the deposit and first months bill) the tech finally comes to install my internet. Well TWO DAYS LATER it goes out and had to wait 4 days for a tech to come out. Was told that the tech would be there sunday the 30th between 8am and 7pm (which was fine). Got a call at 815am on the 30th saying he would be there between 830 and 930. 1145am got a call saying they would be there between 245 and 245, 4pm, no show. I call cableone and they said it has changed to between now and 7pm. 7pm no show. Finally comes out at 9am on MONDAY JULY 31st. Tech tells me that the original tech did not hook it up and did not know how I had internet. So all in all I AM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY AND WILL NOT BE USING THEIR SERVICE after my contract is up. Oh! Almost forgot. I am being billed for a WHOLE MONTH of service I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService was great in our apartment but after buying our new house just a few blocks away, we were disappointed to find we couldn't transfer our service because even though the other side of the street is wired ours is not. And not likely they will bore under the street to serve our side any time soon, as the previous owner had already been waiting years for it.
I understand it's not practical to spend thousands just to serve a handful of people, and mostly I blame PSO for not being cooperative and allowing Sparklight to use their poles to run aerial lines. It's still frustrating, though, wish they would do something for this, as I usually prefer cable over the alternatives.
Someone up top needs to be reminded that sometimes the bottom line is about more than just the money, it's about community service too. Would think by now they could have gotten permission from the city to drop their own poles in, if nothing else ...
[edit] Oh, and a local office only open 4 days a week for a mere 4.5 hours per day in the middle of a work day? Not very convenient, especially for those working the night shift and just wanting to drop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe installation and the internet speed and quality for me was nothing short of fantastic! With that being said, the customer service is pretty lousy...my bill was supposed to be $50.49 but ended up being $116.96 due to ādata usageā which is possibly understandable but every time I would contact them they could never seem to find my account by my phone number. Not too big of a deal but when my local office in elk city Oklahoma will not accept a payment and since a family member was trying to figure it out with them on the phone They wouldnāt let them use a card so I was forced to mail a check which was on a Monday and took a week for them to tell me they received it but in that weeks time the balance went up to $196.70 and then disconnected my Internet and now tell me I would have to pay a $90 fee to reconnect it.... itās very good Internet but I donāt think...
