As a new hobby goer and tabletop gamer I can easily say this is one of the best warhammer shops I have been to in a long time. The staff is friendly, there are many tables for different types of gaming, and the business is a reminder that people of any age can get into war gaming. Inside you will find many beginner friendly tools and models to get started, while also having the option to rent out a room for private DND/warhammer events. The store also has a space to paint your minis while grabbing a beverage from their concessions. While the things to work on are few and far in between I would love to see a space devoted to community works if I were to recommend a change. In the small time that this business has started I think they have made their mark as an established war gaming store that will be a go-to for this side of the mountains. I moved to Ellensburg for college and decided to get into 40K after moving here. Every employee at this location truly loves what they do and that is obviously shown through how they deal/HELP with new players or customers. On top of the owners/employees, the community itself is great and is more than willing to help or play against new players to help learn the rules. Windy City is very inclusive and makes it easy to fit in despite being new to the place! The shop is great, what they lack in selection, they make up for in community and growth. Such a great business, the owners genuinely care about customer satisfaction even to the point of community inclusion! I personally moved to ellensburg and got involved in Warhammer 40K and all 3-4 of the shop owners were very accepting and very accommodating and patient.
