This place might be plentyful but it is the only thing going for it sadly. Ive gone many times over and can say with no doubt alot of locals dont like this place personally and when thats the case a question to the community in here comes to question.

Yes the owner will 100% trash talk the goers of the store and will never allow proxies unlike other stores theres no exceptions here; normally good but when you promote expensive games suxh a strong defiance to proxies is off putting.

Other places may not have it all but they do talk to eachother and you have a better shot going else where because at least youll find a more casual place that'll kick out card thief's instead of claiming no fault for not watching your own stuff.

Its supposed to be a community i shouldnt feel like leaving my bag somewhere would lead to a loss of cards and have it blamed on me for it: theres many cases leaving your bag happens talking to ppl 1 table away , going to bathroom , or even grabing snacks.

Also this place has a strong history of promoting pre-existing discourse in other places and people meaning in short- YES it is possible youll not only be judged ,but the store owner will jump on that with the judgers.

The first time I walked into this store I felt relaxed and at home. Every time I go in there is more product and the place looks clean and well organized. There is so much MTG, Lorcana, One Piece and other card games, warhammer minis and paints, dnd books and miniatures, Gunpla models and other model kits, as well as dice and figures and more. The owner is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have related to MTG or any other card game. He makes a point in learning the rules of each one so he can help people decide if it’s a game they would like and even is willing to sit down and teach people to play if there isn’t another customer there who wants to play. The regular customers there are very welcoming and it’s easy to make friends. I don’t feel out of place as a woman and don’t feel like they are ogling me as I’ve felt at other game stores. They treat me the same as they would anyone else. I’ve often seen the owner special order things for people when he can and he listens to his customer base to decide if it’s worth stocking new types of products. When I first started playing Magic, other stores in town greeted me with outrageous prices and insults. I was told that I wasnt experienced enough to play a card I was in search of. When I came to this store, the owner personally sat with me for many hours trying his hardest to teach me to play, and to get better. As did his "elitist" players who have been accused of gate keeping. Not one player has acted that way. Then I branched out into other TCG games and again the owner and more experienced players helped me start to learn. The amount of product in this store is the most in the state of maine as far as magic goes. And if he doesnt have it, he will try to get it for you. The prices are also the least expensive in town, how can you go wrong here. He follows WPN rules, doesnt have his own personal ban list and doesnt allow proxy's in a sanctioned match. 10 out of 10...
