21Aug.2023 Due to the fact that this parking lot is NOT free parking. $4.00 an hour. I used pay by phone instead of the kiosk, it’s super easier that way for me. The ONLY time it is free is from the hours of 6pm-8am. So NO it’s not free for regular hours. The lot wasn’t crazy busy. The beach wasn’t crowded and the waves, the sun, and wind was so lovely. Clean and beautiful beach. The water was lukewarm and nice sand. There are bathrooms/restrooms and showers or rinse off stations to rinse sand off your body. The showers or rinse off stations are on the outside(when you come out of the bathrooms, the showers or rinse off stations are to the left of the building)of the building of the restrooms. If you’re coming from the beach, the showers or rinse off stations are to the right of the building. Before you get to this spot there is a shopping plaza with a bar and a couple of restaurants there. If you drive about 10 minutes more down the stripe there a more restaurants and shops. Went to the beach from Friday - Monday. Bathrooms looked like it was never cleaned during that time. It was uncomfortable to use them. They definitely need to remodel the bathrooms because it’s been like that for years. The showers were outside and convenient, but there’s not enough for the amount of people coming and going. Parking for the whole day for Saturday and Sunday was $16. The location of the parking is right on the beach which is great. Great beach access with clean parking. It has port-a-John’s available right at the entrance and multiple trash cans and recycling bins for public use. The only thing that could make this a better location is if it has a rinse down spot to remove some of the excess sand that we always manage to bring home from the beach. We enjoy this spot because it’s (kind of) off the beaten path and it doesn’t fill up as quickly as many of the other parking areas available.
