Sheryl's Shell Shop — Local services in Englewood

TOURIST BE AWARE – THIS SHOP DOES NOT LIKE TOURIST!!! Buyer Beware! We were at this Shell Shop around 10:30 am on Friday. A customer went in her shop and came out fast. I was sitting in our car when I felt a hit on the passenger side of my car. Then I felt another hit on the driver's side rear end! This old lady in a white SUV hit our car and quickly drove off. Open my door and walked fast around the building but she was gone!!!! Could not believe what happened. This old lady should not be driving and if she hits someone needs to stop!!! Her car should have damage too!!! Shop owner said she didn't know her but we could tell she had information and didn’t care about tourist. This lady was old and she only needed 3 shells, paid cash and talked with this lady, like she knew her, purchase took about 5 minutes! She is a regular customer who knew where to find her product and needed to get back home quickly.

We didn't buy anything here because this stop just costed us $1,000.00 deductible with our car insurance!!!! Thank goodness we could still drive home. Looked like a great shop with reasonable prices. My complaint is the women working made a remark to my 5 year old son when his face covering came off his nose. He has issues with his face being completely covered but really wanted to see the neat shells. I understand and respect therequirements to enter the place of business but the fact she was wearing a face shield that has clearly been deemed ineffective by the cdc and other sources you would think pointing out a 5 year old having his nose uncovered is quite hypocritical. We put our merchandise back and did not spend any money. It's a shame. Hopefully in the future she will take into account there's kids and adults that have issues that make it hard for them to completley cover their face or even cover it at all. Also hopefully she will cover hers with a more effective covering before critiquing...

Would not go back and we lived there. We found the owner to be difficult and uncomfortable. Took a resin class, when I picked wood to add to my piece she snarked at me that she would need to charge me for these as this is something she needed to go out and pick out by hand. These were literally twigs, her annoyance that I picked them was evident. After that I did not stir the resin right, I did not pour right, I wasn't looking at her so I was not listening. I did not say a word to my daughters, but as soon as we left they asked me why she was treating me like that, and they could not believe I let her treat me like that.
