This is the first online review I have ever written. I am writing it because I had such a fantastic buying experience from Tony at Referral Auto Group. As I researched pull trailers online (and went to view some I had found) I realized that I didnât know enough to make an informed purchase. For example, what kind of frame and exterior siding should I consider (wood frame with aluminum siding, or aluminum frame with bonded fiberglass siding)? Or, what was the biggest trailer that my new truck could pull?
After seeing an ad for a trailer that Tony was selling I contacted him. Soon after talking to him on the phone I felt I was dealing with a person of integrity and not someone who just wanted to sell me any old trailer. The next day I drove 4 hours to look at the trailer I was interested in.
Once Tony learned what I kind of trailer I wanted he went over the pluses and minuses of the trailer I had come to see. He then took me over to another trailer and explained to me why this trailer was a better fit for me (better quality build, higher clearance, more storage, cheaper price etc). I took Tonyâs advice and bought this trailer from him. I am VERY happy with the trailer after using it on five trips. The purchase process was painless.
From a customer service point of view I give Tony 10 out of 10. He seemed to genuinely want to sell me the best trailer for my needs. After extensive online research I feel I paid a fair price compared to a private sale. But what I got for free is difficult to put a price onâŚa ton of advice from Tony. He really knows all the tricks to making camping in an RV the best possible experience. He kitted the trailer out with everything I needed for my first camping trip. After purchase, not only did he check the trailer thoroughly before I arrived to pick it up, he walked me though all the things I needed to know about the trailer and how to use it. He gave me endless tips that have made my camping trips a much better experience. Finally, Tony helped me mount the trailer to my truck and adjusted the height of the tow hitch to ensure everything the trailer was level. He showed me how to attach the weight distribution system and anti sway bars, before explaining how the braking system worked. When I drove off the lot I was ready to go camping with confidence.
Over the past few months I have contacted Tony for advice on some aspects of using the trailer, as well as advice on some after market purchases (battery upgrade, inverter, solar power etc). As part of the âReferral Auto Group familyâ I continue to get great advice. If you are looking to buy an RV from a straight up guy I highly recommend Tony. He will make sure you drive off his lot happy with your...
Read moreMy wife and I had spent the summer of 2013 looking for a fifth wheel travel trailer going to numerous dealerships up and down the central valley of California with no luck whatsoever. We were sick and tired of dealing with rude and high pressure salesmen that basically insulted our intelligence and had no idea what they were trying to sell.
During this time we had also done the Craigslist thing and I can't tell you how many trailers that we went and looked at that the owner's said were in excellent condition but they were actually below average along with damage that the owner's did not list or tried to conceal in there adds. We were at the point where we were just about to give up when I ran across Referral Auto Group's website so one Saturday morning in November 2013 we left Sacramento and drove down to their lot in Escalon, CA. When we arrived Tony greeted us with a big smile and handshake and then informed us that he is not a high pressure salesman, he is there to show you what he has to offer, answer questions, and let us decide. He even suggested that if we did find something to go home, think about it, and then call him back if we decide to make a purchase. Within a couple of hours we had found a Forest River Wildcat that we had purchased.
We were blown away with the whole experience. In our lifetime we have made allot of major purchases but none more enjoyable than Referral Auto Group, bar none. The best part, you deal directly with the owners, Tony and Christy who are honest and upfront with you at all times and have an inventory of very nice used RV's.
This past June of 2016 the wife and I decided it was time to upgrade to a larger fifth wheel . We knew right away that we were going down to see Tony and Christy at Referral Auto Group. When we got there Tony greeted us and to our surprise he remembered us by name. He said, we are going to start at the bottom of the list and work our way up to the top. When we got to the top of the list we had found just exactly what we were looking for and made the purchase that day, it was that simple.
Tony and Christy take great pride in offering good quality used RV's at a very fair price, the price you see is the price you pay, the best part, no haggling back and forth. We would never entertain the idea of going anywhere else to buy an RV.
To all the potential RV buyer's out there reading this post, please take the time to make Referral Auto Group your first stop, they are good honest people and they will earn your trust for a lifetime.
Tony and Christy, once again many thanks for all your help but most importantly your friendship, you will never know how much it really...
Read moreWe were first time buyers and could Not of had a better experience purchasing our first RV from the Referral Auto Group in Escalon. For months we stopped at RV lots throughout the state and northern Nevada and did not find any dealership that came close to the service we received from the Referral Auto Group in Escalon. Tony, Christie, and Paul do not push their RVâs, they educate you and answer all our questions about their products and RVing in general. We were recommended to go visit the Referral Auto Group by a friend, it turned out to be one if the best referral we have ever received. Our first experience was with Paul who showed us a variety of Phoenix RV floor plans, never did Paul push or pressure us to buy, he simply answered all of our questions and shared his deep knowledge of RVâs. The experience went so well for us we followed with another visit this time with Tony to look at the RV we were interested in. We spent 2 hours on a rainy Saturday going through what I would call a seminar on RVâs with Tony. Tony like Paul just unselfishly take their time to answer all your questions and educate first time buyers on RVâs. We felt so good about our experience and the service from Referral Auto we purchased our first Phoenix RV from Tony. When the buying process started the outstanding service did not stop, Christie walked us through the buying process and document signing with ease answering all our questions along the way, we were never rushed. When all the paperwork was completed and it was time to pick up our RV the service continued to be outstanding. We had a 3-hour orientation with Paul where he essentially trained us on our RV in their shop. Our RV was clean, opened up and ready for this orientation that I cannot give enough praise about. During our orientation we had customers stop by, congratulate us, and tell us their stories about how positive their experience was, and how they continue to receive excellent service when they bring their RVâs back for service. Last was the drive home and parking this 34 ft trailer, again being our first RV and a little apprehensive about how best to park our trailer, Tony offered to follow us home and provide guidance on how best to park and pull the RV out of our property. We cannot say enough about the outstanding experience we had with Tony, Paul, and Christie at the Auto Referral Group in Escalon, if youâre in the market for an RV or Trailer you have to pay this team a visit, they truly know what service...
