In a time when talent, artistry, & service is a rare commodity to find, J. Alden stands out as a hidden gem amongst the crowd.

When we discovered we had nothing appropriate to wear to an upcoming funeral, we were in search to find a quality clothing store for men & women. We were not looking for all black or the usual attire. A friend recommended J. Alden Clothiers in Essex.

As soon as we walked in we knew we were in the right place. Jim & his wife greeted us kindly & pulled recommendations for my husband that were casually elegant, in quality fabrics & styles. Jim pulled everything together for us. He also brought us up to date on current fashion trends.

Some of the pieces needed tailoring. Jim came to the rescue & had the tailoring done in a day. Jim personally delivered our purchases to our home in less than 48 hours, just in time for the funeral the next day.

We are grateful for Jim & his wife for their generous service & their wonderful store. We will be repeat customers for sure & hope others will give this place a visit.
