Today was my first time adventuring through Essex, CT. First off, I love the location of this coffee shop--a charming little town with friendly locals. The inside of the cafe is small yet comfortable and inviting; as though you're visiting a friend or reltiave's house. The staff are so kind and prompt with their service. I also love the selection of drinks and food available; from your standard (amazing) coffee/tea options to Avery's soda (including the "Totally Gross Soda" line) to the variety of fruit-based and chocolate desserts and pastries (some gluten-free options too!). It's the kind of atmosphere and town that makes you want to come back as a cozy Sunday (if not daily) tradition. I'd live in this town if I could! Lots of locals frequent here and the coffee is good and the espresso nice and strong as I like it. They have a large selection of Rishi tea too. The yummy treats in the display all look so tempting.
