This was daughter's first real formal shopping experience. We worked with Gretchen. Not only was she helpful, but all the other store employees made this experience special for her! I can't say enough about the employees and help we received! Just so gracious and as helpful as can be. What makes this place so special is even the employees are around the same age or a little older than my daughter and understand teens! That goes a long way for this mom! We also found this dress on the $99 rack! You can get shoes, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and chokers for any occasion and in lots of great colors! You can get a free piece of jewelry and pair of shoes when you buy regular priced dresses which is a bargain. With ours, it was clearance and you can still get clearance shoes, but not a lot of variety in the clearance for the bigger sized girls. The store even got a little busy after we got there and my daughter still got plenty of help, even with a try on having a zipper get stuck. I wish the formals had better zippers! I highly recommend this store for teens! It is like a bridal shop, but for teens! Anyone can go here, but they really specialize in teens! Even if you have to buy shoes and accessories, very reasonably priced. Jewelry runs $25 a piece and regularly priced shoes run $70. You do have to sign a disclaimer saying the purchase is yours with no returns, exchanges or any liability for the store, but I can understand that with people these days wearing dresses once and returning them! The store was clean and very nice! Loved the huge mirror in the dressing room area for my daughter to feel special! They even have a dressor with mirror by the necklaces so you can see everything together. Even the earrings you get to try on before you buy! Only suggestions I would have, would be to try and get more selections in the clearance room because not everyone just for a winter formal can afford $200 plus for dresses and accessories. Get maybe a little more for sizes 20 or higher on dresses, and on shoes size 9 or higher along with maybe wides instead of regular. Also, instead of one little circle table to display clearance shoes, have a wall set up like the regular priced shoe wall so you can see all clearance offered. Also more flats and thicker pumps would be nice too. Then if you are getting a clearance dress, which there is a reason most people get the clearance, if they can't find the free pair of shoes in the clearance, maybe offer two or three free accessories in jewelry to make up for not finding the free shoes and to really go on the specials you advertise. That alone even getting clearance for me as a mom on a budget, would make a difference. All together though, perfect dress, great accessories and shoes with sparkle we spent $234.33 after tax! These days that isn't too bad. Will definitely go here 1st for future needs! The dress can even be worn again! Thank you Paparazzi for making my daughter feel...
Read moreAfter posting the following review, the owner reached out to me. She was very upset with the service we received and did her best to make my Paparazzi experience better. I am more satisified and will look at Paparazzi again next year when I am shopping for a prom dress.
Disappointed in the service and quality of the dresses. At first an associate asked how she could help us and showed us where to find dresses in my daughter’s size.
We found several dresses to try on. We went to a dressing room on our own because an associate never came back to check on us. When someone came back she complained that we had too many dresses in the dressing room and took several out. When we needed more dresses, someone brought us the wrong dresses. We waited so long to get more that we had to find them ourselves.
Most of the dresses had something wrong with them like broken zippers, missing eye hooks, or tears in the fabric. One dress in particular had about a 3-4 inch rip. I didn’t want to put it back on the rack. I waited a long time for an associate to come by so I could let her know about the rip. Her response was “we would just fix it.” Then she put it back on the rack.
We finally found a dress that my daughter loved but the zipper was completely broken. We couldn’t even zip it. I asked for some clips to hold it together and the associate just said “I can hold it for you.”
We had already been to three shops and were tired of shopping. I was reluctant to buy the dress because of the lack of customer service and quality. It needed to be repaired so I was nervous. My daughter loved the dress so I gave in and decided to purchase it. I asked if it could be shipped to us free of charge since we live an hour and a half away. The response was “the owner isn’t here.”
At the checkout I was asked to sign an agreement that I was purchasing the dress “as is” and there were no returns. I asked the associate about what if I’m not satisfied with the zipper after it is repaired. I explained I don’t want to buy the dress if the zipper isn’t repaired properly. She said “the owner isn’t here.” She asked my sister-in-law for her name and number. We told her she wasn’t buying the dress and her response was “that’s just the number we will call to tell you the dress is ready.” Very unprofessional!
It has now been 2 weeks and we haven’t heard from them. It was only supposed to take a week. After calling, they said it wasn’t ready and we could call the person repairing the zipper if we wanted to find out more. We need our dress. Our event is less than a month and we need to do more to it. I do not...
Read moreI went to Papparazzi about two weekends ago in search of a prom dress. As soon as I walked in I noticed a girl looking at her phone at the front desk. It took her a minute to acknowledge me, but when she did she just said welcome and went back to her phone. I then had to guess where to go for my size in the racks of dresses available. After wandering around for a bit with my mom, a consultant came over to me and asked what I was looking for. I told her my size range (8-12) and without asking my budget, she started pulling dresses from the 10’s and up sections. After pulling a lot of what I described to be the style I wanted, she led me over to a dressing room, hanging up the dresses for me, then going back to sit at the desk. I was the only customer in the store at the time (when I walked in there was a girl leaving). My mom had to come into the dressing room and help me to unbag and unhang dresses as well as zip, button, tie, etc. for me. I would come out in dresses to the mirror and look at them without the consultants (there were 2 in the store) even acknowledging me. As I was trying the dresses on I looked at the prices because I do have a budget and many of the dresses I never even tried on due to them being way over my budget- which the consultant never asked me about. The only time the consultants ever came over and showed interest in me was when they think I liked the dress I had on and wanted to buy it. They would then pull more selections based on that one dress but still never asked me my price range, so I couldn’t try on some of those dresses either. My best friend, who was with us, ended up picking me out my favorite dress, but I didn’t fall in love with it. I wouldn’t have bought it there anyways, just based on my bad experience. I quickly left and went to another store that gave me a much...
