I love all the rural king locations and the useful things I can get there. Almost all of the employees are super helpful and kind as well and I’ve never had a bad experience before now. However that recently came to an end with an employee at the Morgan Avenue location in Evansville Indiana the other day and it leads me to try to warn everyone who may see this and hopefully bring some change to his behavior. I noticed during the interaction that his name tag said Jason and he was unacceptably rude to not only me but other customers and his fellow employees. I understand if a customer is rude first and you may need to be a little rude back but no one was being difficult or even raising their voice during this situation. I asked for help from an employee and they were helping me find what I needed when he came around the corner and started yelling and swearing at them for not getting a task completed yet or something to that effect! There’s no reason to ever be like that towards your fellow employees but especially not when customers are all around you and one is actively seeking help from that employee. He never apologized to any of us or the employee he just turned and walked away. I was so in shock that all I could do was stare at the employee who then apologized to everyone for the angry man and turned to walk back to their station. I will not be going back to that location until something is done about that employee. I assume he was some sort of lead to be bossing another employee around like that and I can’t believe that’s who you would want as a lead in your store. I ask Rural King to please take a closer look at your managers and people in...
Read moreExcellent prices on items not usually found elsewhere. Such as durable storage bins, bulk garbage bags of any size, Christmas Trees (in season,)fresh popcorn by the bag, vehicle batteries, lawnmowers, off road vehicles, bulk candy, and select grocery items to name a few.
Although, I've found the price on the types of stock one would think you'd save on from a farm store are often higher than anticipated. For example, there is no doubt a sizeable selection of pet foods, treats, meds, toys, beds, and other accessories. I've even seen brands and products I've not seen anywhere else or have not learned of before visiting. Same goes for clothing, boots, handbags, men's and women's travel bags/ luggage, etc. I do find that with a little time and research, their prices can be beat.
I give this Rural King location FIVE STARS as there has never been any problems with customer service, returns/exchanges, or assistance with items too large/heavy getting to either the cart or out to the vehicle. No manager or employee has ever been rude to me in any sense of the word, nor refused to assist if I ever had a question of any kind. I stop in once or twice a month during our grocery shopping and pharmacy errands.
Lastly, there is seemingly always a bag of freshly-popped buttery popcorn in my house from this Rural King...lol!! What else can I say? ...I've always liked Rural King, but I love shopping at this locale!!
The uploaded photo was taken immediately following the planting of my little flower "garden," last summer with items picked up at RK. I must have Spring Fever because I can't wait to plan and plant garden 2019!! We're doing vegetables and...
Read moreAbsolutely Horrible wasted morning! Spent all morning with a couple shopping in the clearance isle making sure everything was priced right. Was told to go to register 1 but some lady with a ball cap and dark shirt basically yelled at me that other registers were open and felt forced to move. Nothing came up the price it was posted. The couple across from me in lane 1 got almost the exact things I did and all their stuff came up right but none of mine did. The ball cap lady was trying to help the cashier and was set on the prices and basically didn't want to even hear me. Really sad because I feel a bit discriminate and was not treated the same as the couple that had the same stuff I did and got the clearance price. Thank you to Eric for all your hard work helping us, sorry it was a waste....
