On the Go Audio is the way to go. I researched head units, decided on which I thought was my choice, visited audio shops/installers, and decided that Kevin at On the Go Audio was my best decision. First, learn what you can about what you want, listen to Kevin’s advice, then research some more based on all information. The first thing you’ll notice at On the Go Audio is the neatness. The counter area is neat and organized; the area is clean; the shop area is neat, organized, and clean. If the shop is clean, that’s kind of an idea of how nice Kevin’s work is going to be done in your vehicle where you might not be able to see. Kevin installs quality components. He’s in this for the long haul. It’s been his life’s vocation. He makes a living because customers are happy and the purchased components remain working with the play you expected. When you first meet Kevin, have your questions ready. Ask questions and more questions. Ask how cables are going to be run. Ask what you will see when the work is completed. Understand what you are getting so you won’t be disappointed. Be specific and make sure Kevin understands your needs/wishes. He will make a nice installation; he’ll do the work just as if it were his own vehicle. On my second visit, before making my decision, Kevin did some research and decided on how he could make my existing factory tailgate backup camera work with the new head unit. Then, he called me to further explain how the backup camera would work. The work was done. When I picked it up, Kevin demonstrated it was working – Apple CarPlay, backup camera, steering wheel controls, USB and aux jacks – and where the jacks were going to be placed; and where the microphone and GPS antenna would be placed. So, I used it for about six months and wanted an adjustment made on how the head unit fit in the dash. Kevin immediately brought me in, made the adjustment, and then installed a firmware update. After I left, I thought the new firmware was a little “quirky” with CarPlay. Kevin brought my truck back in, worked on the firmware update, and reset the head unit so now it works perfectly with CarPlay. Kevin even called me the next day to be sure all was OK. Listen, he is concerned about the customer being happy. You’re shopping for more than just price. You want quality work and service after the sale. This is what Kevin does. ...
Read moreI bought my BMW about two weeks ago and I wanted to add a little umph to my music. I typically take my car to places like Best Buy for subwoofer installs simply because I can use my credit card and hold them accountable if they damage anything on my vehicle, but this time I wanted to support a local business. I scoured the internet looking for a place that I could feel comfortable taking my car to and trust. In my search, I stumbled upon On The Go Audio. After spending an hour reading the reviews, I decided to drive up and check it out. It's a nice clean small shop with a good selection of stereo items to choose from. Upon walking in I was quickly greeted by the owner, Kevin. I wasn't really sure of what to expect, but Kevin answered all of my questions without hesitation. Upon our first interaction, I could tell he knew what he was talking about when it came to the car audio world. He was very calm and chill and put no pressure upon me to purchase anything. I asked him how much, he gave me a price and I said, "Ok, let's move forward." My experience with Kevin was awesome. He told me to bring my car to the shop on Monday at 10 AM and he would do the install. By 12:41PM on Monday, Kevin called me letting me know that my car was done. I don't know if you've ever had an install completed by Best Buy, but typically your without a car 4-8 hours waiting for them to complete the work. Kevin did it in about 2 hours. I later found out that he did the work on his day off. I left the shop very happy and pleased with my decision in giving this business a chance. I even screwed something up with the subwoofer and called Kevin asking for help. Without hesitation, he said come to the shop now and he would fix it. He took pride in his work and wiring and walked me through what he did. You can tell that he loves doing what he does, not to mention he's great at it. My experience with this business and Kevin was phenomenal. I let him know that I would definitely write a review for him because of the outstanding job he did. If any of my friends and family ask me about car audio installs, I will surely refer them to On the Go Audio. If YOU are in the market for a sub, car radio, speakers or anything pertaining to car audio, stop scrolling through these reviews and give Kevin a call or go visit his shop. You will NOT regret your decision! Thanks...
Read moreWhen I was researching reviews from local business to install a review camera in my 2008 Corvette, On The Go Audio stood out. They had nothing but great reviews. From the moment I talked to the owner Kevin, I could immediately tell that he not only knew what he was talking about, he also explained how he would do it. He assured me that he would take his time and do the job right. This was important to me since I am very fussy with my car. After talking to him, I also decided to up grade my stereo as well.
Long story short, he was very professional, his work was clean and he took the time to explain everything to me. He never made me feel pressured to buy something and he was willing to work around my schedule. When the job was over, the backup camera looked factory installed. He was able to pull the wire through an opening at the top of the license plate and used a bracket that attached it behind the license plate without drilling any holes. It looked great! He took the time to help me set up the stereo and showed me how to operate many of its features.
I highly recommend On The Go...
