I bought my first bike there couple years ago and although the sales staff is friendly, I’d buy from somewhere else. I say that because when I go in for parts, 90% of the time the parts staff seem miserable and give you attitude if they are busy. I went in there just for oil and I didn’t know the layout of the store. The girl behind the counter asked what I was looking for and I told her oil so she proceeded to respond it’s on the bottom shelf where it says oil...need a say more? Also when I have asked if they have a part or a new jacket, most of the time their response is “we probably do but it’s in a box in the back and hasn’t been put into inventory. Their mechanics seem pretty knowledgeable but don’t expect a quick turn around time. I fully understand the summers can be busy but to take 3+weeks just to diagnose an issue seems excessive, specially when they don’t find any issue at all after a quick 5 min ride. Most of my buddies deal with Northern Power and have nothing but good things to say about them or even the motorcycle shop in Anchorage. I remember when I bought my bike through the fun center and they didn’t even seem to care as they were just sitting around waiting for a response from 1 bank vs trying to get in touch with other banks (which they eventually did) after I asked if we could use other banks. The sales staff don’t seem that knowledgeable as well as they were trying to convince me and my other buddy who rides that the R6 is no longer made and you can’t even order them. This was in 2019 before they were discontinued the following year. They also said certain bikes are sold and they won’t be getting anymore, yet a week later they have the same models new on the...
Read moreI've come in to this place twice. One guy both times at least asked if I needed help with anything or had been helped, but the person "helping" me wasn't very helpful or patient and no one else would help me. Overall, the 2 sales people at the registers seemed pretty rude and rushed and pretty unprofessional, yelling at whom I assume to be are their children. I hate to wait around quite a while and what I was looking for was finally located in a book to order but I wasn't assured that it was actually what I needed, but no refunds are possible for special orders so I had to think about it. I wasn't allowed 2 seconds to think and she was gone and I waited a while (at least 10 minutes) and she didn't return and when I asked about her they said she was tied up. So I called later and asked to pay over the phone because I decided I wanted to order it. I was put on hold for about 12 minutes (fair enough, it was hard to locate it in the system and they did find it), but couldn't assure me it was the right product and again wasn't willing to give me 3 seconds to think about it. I called back maybe one minute later when I made my decision and the person helping me had apparently left the building.
I'm just going to risk ordering it online because at least those accept returns and all the hassle will be on me. Also the store is overall overpriced and I don't think I'll be...
Read moreWaste of time, I understand you have all of fairbanks to service, & your not a new establishment so you should be well oiled; pun intended. I had brang my ATV in for a simple, super fast, not technical, almost easier than an oil change -Valve adjustment. It sat in the lot for 72 hours in the rain not covered and never moved. After seeing it for 3 days in the same spot driving by I just opted to do the repair myself. Surely I lack the knowledge but thats what youtube is for. If they could not find the 1-Hour to service my ATV and make an outrageous $125 or more than they surely are better off and dont need my money. Or, what i suspect is they have a terrible coordination scheme, if they truly only do repairs on a first come first serve basis, that makes little sense. You could have 3 or 4 vehicles needing parts, holding up the que, or you can have an area for quick service and reliable techs. If you dont mind leaving your vehicle to sit for a week or longer, than sure, go to them. But if you live in Alaska and know that the seasons are short and time is crucial, do it yourself youll be happier.
Also I had them order a part, its been a week and no delivery yet. I ordered the part myself for 70$ less on Ebay and got it yesterday. Do they even place the order...
