I love this course. It is my home course and I am out here at least a few times a week. The course itself is maintained well and the pace is usually pretty good even on weekend(rounds can range from 3-4 hours). The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the pro shop recently hired an older lady who is completely unbearable to be around and sometimes borderline rude. Last weekend I was playing a round of nine and accidentally left my sand wedge on one of the holes. When I came back the next day to check, I asked the elderly lady if anyone had brought by a 56 deg club in the past day. Without putting any thought into it, she harshly said no. Maybe she knew that my club was not brought in, but the way she said it and the lack of helpfulness was extremely off putting. I saw two wedge type clubs sitting near the closet and when I walked over to take a look, she rushed over grabbed the clubs, shoved them in the closet. I don't understand why she needs to act the way she does, it makes no sense. She is literally like this every time I go there and I am not the only one to notice it. There was another time we were celebrating my brothers birthday, range time then dinner with our family at the restaurant. The bar and restaurant were virtually empty so we allowed our children to get up and play around our table. When I walked over to the pro shop to refill my range card, the first thing out of this ladies mouth was "Those kids are soo annoying, I cannot wait for them to leave", not even a "Hi how is it going" or "How can I help you", but just complete negativity. When I explained to her that they were my kids, she tried to back track on her words. With all of that said, I still love this course and most of everyone else who works here are pleasant and nice people to be around.
Update: thanks for the response, my tee time was at 4:10pm last Friday 10/17. While the person in question was not there during my check in, they were there the next morning when I was looking...
Read moreFantastic course, staff and bar/restaurant(Amy is a doll). I wonât marr the course with poor stars but⊠during ridiculous heat wave, they decided to close the driving range. Whilst I understand the concern for patrons and staff⊠if Iâd like to hit the range in the heat, let me make that decision.
The first two days were awful, the third was a normal hot summer day in Fairfield. Three days in a row I attempted to go to the range. The third day I had high hopes as it was cooler. Not cool but cooler that the craziness it had been. Nope. They closed the range just minutes before I arrived after getting off work citing it was dead out there and people werenât using the range much. When I drive up there weâre people still hitting balls and I was pretty stoked. Why would sound reasoning not take over and say âhey, in the late afternoon people will come hit balls as the sun go a down and it cools off?â
Mind boggling for someone who loves this place, this range and uses it 2-3 days a...
Read morePeople mention food but that's Legends and totally separate. Paradise Valley is a golf course owned by the City of Fairfield and managed by Kemper. First class municipal course feels semi private. The course is well kept and plays terrific. (Thank you maintenance) Well rounded facility; driving range lit after dark, free short game practice area, professional club fitment and demo days. Putting green good and instructors and pro staff fantastic. Lessons are well worth it. Daryl, Sam, Chris all excellent but I use Chris. Highly recommend the course and lessons. Request; if you're going to play here please learn how to golf first and keep pace. For all of us. Can't forget Brian in the pro-shop!...
