I recently visited the El Pollo Loco restaurant located at 3346 North Texas Street in Fairfield, CA, hoping to enjoy a satisfying chicken meal. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the lack of good customer service I encountered. I visited the establishment on July 7, 2023, at approximately 1:49 PM, and my receipt number was 2885. I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the service, particularly the behavior of the cashier named Rosario.
As I was preparing to leave the restaurant, I politely asked Rosario for a receipt. To my surprise, she seemed offended by my request and responded with a noticeable attitude. I was taken aback when she proceeded to throw the receipt at me, which left me feeling disrespected and unappreciated as a customer.
In any establishment, treating customers with respect and courtesy should be a top priority. Unfortunately, my encounter with Rosario demonstrated a clear lack of these fundamental principles. It is disheartening to be met with such dismissive behavior, especially after choosing to dine at El Pollo Loco.
Customer service plays a vital role in shaping a customer's overall experience and perception of a restaurant. A negative interaction like the one I had with Rosario can significantly tarnish the reputation of an otherwise decent establishment. This incident not only left me with a bitter taste in my mouth but also made me question whether I would consider returning to El Pollo Loco in the future.

Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. The drive- through window staff were rude and dismissive. I greeted them when I arrived at the window and the staff ignored me. I said Happy New Year and the girl closed the window in my face. They got my order right which is the only thing they got right BUT that's where everything went wrong. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup and 2 street tacos. The workers, in their haste to move the line, didn't bother putting the top on the soup properly. By the time I got home, all of my soup spilled in the bag, soaking the condiments and the tacos rendering EVERYTHING inedible. I tried calling the restaurant to report my experience and after 40 minutes of getting a busy signal, I finally reached a live person who put me on hold for another 8 minutes. Someone else came to the phone and the call was mysteriously disconnected as I was telling the last person of my experience. I paid a little more than $16, in cash, and would like a refund but I don't have a receipt because it was ruined when the soup emptied into the bag where the receipt was placed! I'm going to return to the restaurant tonight and request a refund. I can't be ignored in person. I'll update my post to let you all know the outcome. I'm hoping it goes better today...
Read moreUpdate!! a few months ago I had no problems with this restaurant. TONIGHT I was given old lettuce in my salad. The tostada bowl appeared old and it was soggy and broken before I even put my dressing on it. The young lady that was working the drive thru register had such a nasty attitude, for whatever reason. We were told no military discount would be given. We asked her when did they stop this..she states " TODAY, RIGHT NOW‼️"Then the manager explained the register had to reboot or something and that we WOULD get our military discount 🤷🏾♀️. Ok no problem. We even thanked the manager and she was apologetic about the situation. Per the Manager, the young lady was to give us our food. Well she handed it to us , no thank you, have a nice day etc. just closed the door and rolled her eyes. She was the wrong person on the drive thru window. Maybe she had a bad day, but all I asked was when did the discounts stop🤷🏾♀️. I never had a problem before at this restaurant. This is the first time I've ever gotten a nasty attitude thrown at me and a nasty meal. 🤢 This was a first and I hope the last. I'll come in from now on and WATCH how my meal is made.
