Gabe's — Local services in Fairmont

I wouldn't shop here if u paid me. This is what you call corporate bullcrap. First off its not the original Gabriel Brothers. This store started in the back of a truck, it was intended to be a bargain for people that didn't have the money to go to the fancy department stores. This was a great store that sold merchandise at a great price like nice Nikey's for $40 not $90. I asked a staff member what happened to the prices and she replied " We no longer deal in second hand or damaged products." Lol that's why you can go and find all kinds of items that have their manufacturing tags blacked out or removed, the manufactures remove or black out their product tags to prevent the consumer from trying to return these " damaged" goods to the high end retailers for cash refund or store credit. I'm just a consumer who doesn't like being taken advantage of. I also don't like seeing my fellow man taken...

Not really caring to shop, I have given 5 stars to the meadowdale area Gabe's. I was looking for a hard-to-find size pants for a elderly family member. The store manager dropped everything she was doing & helped me for over an hour💗😇😁I told her a few times "thank you for pointing me in the right area, I hate to be taking up your time." The 4 star is for the employees, the store needs major work compared to other gabs! I don't understand how gabs headquarters is in this area and the stores in this area leave allot to be desired. MD, OH, PA stores have great selection while WV selection is out dated and not so trendy. I'm not joking! Go to Kent Ohio, Cumberland MD, Pittsburgh PA or even Detroit MI and the merchandise is current. The make-up isn't expired. I swear WV gets the worst...
