Had to spend the night here because my load wasn’t going to be ready til the next morning. Well, let me start off by saying that it’s located deep in the hills & woods of West Virginia where [everyone] looks the same 🙂. Upon entering the place a sea of blue eyes gawked at me, so I asked out loud, ‘y’all must not be use to seeing a fine big black man around these parts?’, to break the ice. Once they looked into the parking lot and saw my semi truck, they exhaled and the small talk began. I ended up ordering 2 cheeseburgers with fries for my co-driver and I which was good for almost $20. But I also cashed a EFS check there for only $125.00 and was charged $6. I was like wow Pilot don’t even charge that much 😂. But overall, the place seems to be under renovation. They have 2 working showers and a restroom area & a small casino. The parking is very small but you can work your way into a spot if you have a 53’ trailer , but better if your bob tailing. They also have a cat scale. I gave it 2 stars because I think they could be a bit more professional to everyone regardless of race color and creed, but...
Read moreRestaurant is closed, due to remodeling. Small parking lot that you would be better entering through the exit between scale and pumps than navigating around 4-wheelers parked and sharp turns around buildings. The Exit is clearly marked and obvious but nothing for the Truck entrance because there isn't one, just 2 narrow drives for cars. Very confusing and poorly designed.
Room for about 16 trucks but tight behind building. Lots of big pot holes, typical for an independent with limited funds. Be mindful of where you park when it's raining or you'll end up stepping out into a pond.
Signage is missing at T-junction. Turn LEFT and it will be up the hill on your right. I had to stop and use Google maps to find it. I mentioned the lack of signage pointing the way to which the reply was there's blue signs indicating food and gas pointing left at the T, but when you are in a TRUCK looking for a TRUCK STOP, little blue signs for cars aren't helpful when you've got a loaded 70 foot semi that's easy to get into trouble with in a world built for cars, not TRUCKS.
They have a tiny C-store,...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT support this place. Read on for details. For 8+ years local, over the road truck drivers have been able to park here for their weekends home with their families. Two weeks ago, out of no where, the owner very rudely declared that was no longer allowed without any valid reason. Drivers, including my husband, have even offered to pay to park on the weekends and were declined. These drivers are beginning to lose their jobs as this is the only location they had been able to find that was suitable to park based on their employer's standards for parking. We had been supporting K&T with our personal fuel purchases and other purchases. We will never come here again and I urge those of you who are local to do so as well as this company has no care about its community or families. When told drivers would lose their jobs the response was that it wasn't...
