Levittown Lanes — Local services in Falls Township

Where do I even begin. First off when I first arrived here (at the age of 14 btw) with a friend of mine the people at the desk were VERY rude and unfriendly. It’s almost as if I’m not the one paying to bowl?? Like I’m literally the one giving you service and paying off that paycheck of yours. Anyways, as I was saying. As my friend & I walked in the lady immediately gave off a rude tone and yelled at my friend for her own bowling shoes. She kept saying how the shoes weren’t bowling shoes and couldn’t be used but her mom had literally used those same bowling shoes on many different occasions and at many different locations and not one person had said anything to her about them. After the issue was resolved they kept glaring over at us and quite frankly it was very uncomfortable. You’re grown adults staring down 14 year old kids. Get a life. Honestly if I wasn’t the shy, anxious, kid I was back then I probably would’ve said something. Looking back, I regret not saying anything from the start/to begin with but I cant blame my younger self for their lack of service. After awhile they eventually stopped and went along with their day but considering my friend & I had never gone bowling we weren’t enjoying our first time experience. Let’s just say we were already off to a bad start. A few minutes pass by and we were struggling to get the bowling ball straight so we asked for support and asked if they could put the bumpers up, because again, it was our first time ever bowling. They started lecturing us and basically kept saying how we were “too old” to be using bumpers. But what I don’t understand is how a 14 year old who has never bowled before can be “too old” to use a bumper. And like I’ve mentioned before if we’re the one paying YOU and we’re the one who’s paying to bowl why would you try and limit our recourses...? The only good thing that came out of this experience was the price & how my friend and I can look back and laugh at how terrible we were treated. I went there for the first time as a treat for my kids as a family outing near our home. First walking in, the lady was rushing us to check in because she said that the grill was closing soon and the order for the pizza would need to go in soon. Fine by me since it was later in the evening, but it makes no sense to insist on a minimum of $10 for the credit card and still charge an additional 3%. Either way, fine by me, but once the first ball was rolled, the lane froze, and we had to wait quite a bit for them to come fix it. For 2 hours of bowling, the lane froze a total of 4 times and we had to wait for them to get around to fixing it. While we bowled, we noticed that the people beside us were using bumpers while we opted not to, but during our last game, we asked for them to be put up, but we were told that "the adults could not play" even though adults were playing on the other lanes. We just let the kids play and sat out the last game. The only thing we could say was good was the pizza and the Mozzarella sticks. The soda was watered down and warm despite having ice. While I enjoyed the time with my family, it's not a place where I would return to for a family outing. The receiving staff is extremely rude and leaves for a bad experience. One of my kids asked for the wrong size shoe and when she went to ask for the right size, the man rudely responded when he never acknowledged that...

This is my second time going to this place in 4 years. Both times the employees were extremely rude, same employees. I'm assuming they're the owners. The woman at the front counter seemed annoyed and inpatient and flat out rude. You ask more than 2 questions and she makes you feel like you're a bother to her. We bowl at AMF Bristol on leagues, so we brought our own bowling shoes, she told us they were going to check them (no problem, but the way she said it was like we were supposed to be worried she was actually going to). The older man there, we asked about alcoholic drinks, if he served us or we got our own. He straight faced said I ain't serving your drinks. The deals they have are alright. Bowling per hour or game were reasonable and they have a deal with a pizza and a pitcher of soda. Both the pizza and the soda were terrible. I think they microwaved the pizza and they may not clean their soda machine. At the end of the night the older man did ask if we wanted a box for the pizza, we said yes, and he gave us one. The front desk woman was asked to put bumpers up and grab a ball that a little girl accidently threw down a non working lane and she did it with a smile and told the little girl that it was ok.
