I wanted to create a new review for this post, but since it's not allowing me, I'm going to edit my original post. I rated this store a 1 star, which I honestly felt was generous considering. Plus, the original sales person was very kind. After rating the store, I had the opportunity to speak with Shannon (the owner), who attempted to persuade me to revise my review and give her more than one star. I refused because the rating I gave was the rating I felt the store deserved. After I made a comment concerning my availability to get the items in the following week she attempted to insult my intelligence by telling me that she only tried to sell me a more expensive item because she knew that I needed it right away and what I wanted was not in stock. This was not the case. The second she approached me, she began trying to sell me. The young lady who'd gone to get her explained that I was interested in something I'd seen online. Shannon asked her about the item, and she began to tell her. When the sales associate began to fumble around the price that I'd stated Shannon stated to her "we don't have anything for that price" she then told Shannon that I'd seen it online to which Shannon responded "well does she have a picture of it at that price?" I responded I can do you one better. I added the items to my cart on your website. (See no misunderstanding) She was intentionally trying not to sell me the advertised items at the advertised price long before she knew what the items even were. Once I showed her the items online, she never stated that they were not available or that they would need to be ordered. She went to several other more expensive items and showed them to us. At some point, I told her my husband did not want the hybrid mattress because he didn't like the divots in it. She again showed us another hybrid stating that hybrids were all she had in a 12 inch. She walked to the front of the store, and my husband and I continued to explore on our own. In the second half of the back of the store was a 12 inch memory foam mattress. When the sales team, including Shannon, returned, we pointed out the mattress to her. She then asked to see the advertisement again and I showed her. She says this is the wrong mattress. This mattress is going to add at least 100$ to that price. As she continued to talk, I interjected that I came into the store to purchase what I saw online. I could either purchase what I saw or leave without buying anything at all. It is at this point that Shannon stated that she would need to look up the item in her inventory, and after having done so returned stating that she could order it because it was not available. NOW SHE WANTS TO ADD FURTHER INSULT BY SAYING THAT THEY STAYED OPEN LATE ASSISTING ME. THAT'S BECAUSE SHANNON WASTED BOTH OUR TIME TRYING TO upsell ME SOMETHING I DIDN'T WANT. YES! WE DID GET THE MATTRESS AND FRAME WE ORDERED IN A WEEK, BUT WE ALSO BOTH CONTRACTED COVID FROM SHANNON, WHO WAS ADMITTEDLY SICK THE FIRST DAY WE MET.
I passed this store on my way to and from work daily. I found myself in need of a bed, so I went on their website to look. I saw a few things that I liked and decided to go to the store to check them out. When I went in, I asked to see the things I saw online and was directed to an area where memory foam mattresses were located. The first individual who was assisting me went to the owner to get answers to my questions. The owner then came and attempted to upcharge me on the merchandise when I stated that it was online for a lower price she essentially called me a liar requesting that I show her a picture of the online advertisement. I went on the site and showed her the listing. THIS IS KNOWN AS A BAIT AND SWITCH AND IT IS ILLEGAL. After some time, the store owner agreed to order the lower priced item and stated that it would arrive in a week.
