Nelson's Fireworks Outlet — Local services in Fate

Anyone who knows me knows that I do much research before I purchase just about anything! My fireworks purchase started off by recommendations from friends. I was connected with Gregg. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it in while Gregg was working but we went in one night to browse and get a feel for what we might want. Mr. Nelson and Amanda helped us and both were simply great! We spent the next day researching online and visiting many other shops around dfw. It didn't take us long at all to realize we would be making our purchases with Nelson's! We went back tonight and was helped by Donald. He was equally fantastic. Everyone helps with a smile and eager attitude. Their knowledge of inventory and product quality is superb. They even helped us to ensure the show we were planning included all the right colors, sounds, effects, etc. This 4th of July is special because my father is battling cancer and we want to ensure he has a memorable 4th of July. I walked in the door. I was on my phone “texting” Because I was working at the time. Although I did not make eye contact with anyone. I seen a woman to the left of me behind the corner fiddling some things. I seen that she looked at me walk in. I was standing only 3 ft away from the door to finish texting, Before I browsed around. This woman must of took 90 seconds to acknowledge me. To be honest my feelings were hurt. I could feel her looking at me in multiple times. She finally smiled and asked if I needed any help. Literally no one is in the store because it was 2pm on a Wednesday like 6 days before the 4th.

I couldn’t help but notice when i was walking around. Two older white men walked in the door. Although she was still fidgeting she greeted them Immediately. Literally. Immediately.

Awesome place! The prices are very reasonable, they have TV's to scan bar codes to see what the fire works do before you buy them, the staff is incredibly friendly and informative, the owner was a pretty fun dude to talk to, they have AC so you browse in comfort, AND they offer a legit 10% discount to military/ retired/ veterans. I'd also like to mention that the selection of fireworks they carry is amazing. None of those "meh, that was cool I guess" type of firework; however, different strokes for different fokes does apply here, haha.
