The customer service was great. I paid once for a broken 14k bracelet. It broke overnight. I went back 2 days later and had it repaired again. Got it back after paying $25 a second time, and when I take it from the package, I look it over and now see a 10k clasp notation on the opposite side of the clasp. It was not a 14k /10k bracelet. It doesn't look as shiny either. I'm afraid I may have been given the wrong bracelet and if that was necessary repair. I'd liked to have the same 14k replacement parts, even though there was no issue with the clasp. I'm not too happy. Something isn't right. Below is a picture of what it should and did look like before. The other (3) are "after MGB repair job" pictures. I'm not too happy.
UPDATE: I took the bracelet back to the original jeweler for them to look it over. They were disgusted at the condition of what I received AFTER repair. The jeweler said I should file a stolen property report. They said the bracelet was not what they sold me and no reputable jeweler would ever sell a bracelet with 10K on one end of the clasp and 14K on the other side. SOMEONE at MGB is bad for business. I was clearly ripped off by the second repair guy. He knows who he is. I hope the owner realizes that guy can cost him his business and is affecting the business' reputation. I do a lot of reviews and usually I let slightly bad service go. "This" is for the benefit of others. When the owner asked me back a 3rd time to look it over (the 2nd repair), he was clearly baffled. I'm pretty sure he can figure out who the culprit who works with him or for him is. Don't leave your jewelry. Wait on it, or go to another jeweler, but NOT a repair person...a jeweler and if possible, the original jeweler...
Read moreMy husband took my wedding ring set to be soldered together for my Christmas present. The work was completed, but nothing like requested. The jeweler took it upon himself to solder the ring COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the way requested, and has completely changed the way the set is supposed to look. There was no phone call to say, “hey because the shape of the engagement ring, it can’t be soldered the way you requested. Would you like to come pick it up or would you like me to try another way?” So when my husband went to pick up the rings, it was just stuck together the completely wrong way. To the point I won’t even wear the ring set and now we have to go in search of another jeweler to not only take the rings apart but put them back together the way we wanted in the first place. It is totally unprofessional to alter a customers jewelry drastically different than requested without ANY sort of communication...
Read moreI normally take my watch to a certain watchsmith that works on my brand of watches, but he has been out of service due to illness. So I scoured the internet for a good watch repair service and I saw that MGB jewelry repair had a high star rating review. Mr. Mike took very good care of my exspensive watches. I was a little skeptical at first because of the location but as I watched Mr. Mike take very meticulous and tedious care towards my watches I was very pleased. Never judge a book by it's cover. These gentlemen are...
