I can't say enough good things about this place. My dad is a former resident and I used to visit every summer. Upon my first visit, he promptly introduced me to this great little store. I believe I met the owner at the time (not sure if it's the same lady? This was back in the late 90s) and she was very kind.
The hot dogs. Oh my god. I still DREAM about them to this day. I would walk (or ride my bike) here for them and it was NOT a short journey. If I remember correctly, it was at least a mile from my dad's house. Yes. They were (and I'm guessing still are) that good.
My dad is getting older so I hope we can visit soon. Maybe we'll go down the street to the Ivanhoe to have a few drinks and then hit this lovely place on...

The morning after the quake, went there to get coffee(which I very much appreciated) and people (me included)were conversing about the event that shook up our county and the owner very rudely said "can you take your conversation outside so I can move my product?!" Found that a little insensitive on top of her grabbing coffee items out of my hand while in use. Guess I was taking too long in her opinion. After talking about my experience with other locals including close Acquaintances of hers, that's her personality ALL THE TIME...wow!!! Maybe that's why she can't find employees....I will not be supporting her...
