At the crosswalk when someone pushes the button to cross the lights go on immediately. It doesn’t count down and then go green like most crosswalk lights. Today, a woman fast walking for exercise pushed the button and kept walking (fast) without even a 1/100th of a second pause into the road directly in front my car. This insane woman assumes that because she has pushed the button and the lights have come on that I can stop a car going 40 mph in 10 feet. She proceeded to scream at me for not stopping. She should have be thanking me for not hitting her. The car behind me had to squeal brakes and practically go out of control attempting to stop for crazy woman. She screamed at that driver too. This bridge is summary of manatee county. BADLY made. It should as a MINIMUM have 2 lanes on both sides. With the obscene rate this county is growing, please make it 3 on each side. This will cause a lot of delays when it goes under construction again, more than it already does as it runs right now.
