The Teal Turtle Boutique — Local services in Palmetto

I was happy to find this local business to support when I moved to Parrish this year, and have been into the store a handful of times with great experiences, until today. I purchased 3 items online yesterday that were clearnce items marked "final sale", and elected to pick up in store, totalling $36.00. I went to pick them up today and asked the young gal who was working to try them on, along with another full priced dress I happen to see once inside. Unfortunately, the 3 items I purchased online didn't fit as I had hoped. I asked the clerk to return them and she said she was instructed that all clearence is final sale. I advised I wasn't asking to return without spending at least the $36.00-and probably would have ultimately spent more as it wouldn't have been on clearance! The young clerk offered to call someone to double check-not sure if she called the owner or manager-but she was unable to even discuss that I didn't want a refund as she was cut off by who was on the other end and repeatedly said "ok...ok...I understand." I was then informed that there are no exceptions on clearance and returns as I already paid-not sure how you order something online and don't pay?? I will NOT shop here again. While I understand there are rules, this wasn't a case of buyers remorse. Heard lots of good stuff about this place but was very disappointed in service. Nice selection of merchandise. We waited 15 minutes for clerk to try and ring out customer ahead of us. She struggled doing a return even with help on the phone. Then my daughter tried to purchase a dress that the system said was not in stock and clerk had no idea what to do. Finally gave up and left.
