My wife and I play Panther Run on July 24, 2020. We were staying at the JW Marriott in Marco Island and heard about the course through online reviews. The trip was about an hour away, so we were hesitant to travel that far, but well worth the trip!!! Upon arriving, the bag drop attendant was super friendly and set the tone for the day. The Pro Shop staff were equally attentive and friendly. After a nice warm up at the range, which was magnificent and well manicured, we headed to the 1st tee. This was our first time at Panther Run, so we played mostly conservative off the tees. Each hole was unique and offered splendid views of open and tree lined areas with a few homes sites in between. (We were visited by a rafter of turkey hens on the back nine!) The golf holes were designed with challenges for all skill levels. The tee boxes were level and nice, the fairways were like carpet... really! ...and the green were near perfect. Putts rolled out nicely! The only issue I had while playing was the following the course layout on the back of the scorecard. It was not always accurate showing location of hazards or open water. Some of the water hazards were much closer that the diagram depicted. No worries though, I'll know for next time. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Panther Run. Hopefully, the bar and dining room will be open next year when we visit as they were closed due to Covid-19 precautions. 5-Stars

We played here on 21st of May and needed to stop after 9 holes because the lawn mowers where from the first to the 9th hole and there was no chance for a decent play. After a talk to the pro shop we got an 18 hole rain check. Fine for me, but nevertheless, there goes 1 star. If you let people play at 7.30 there must be place to play. Yesterday, 3rd of June we played again. Due to "We are closing for 1 week", we didn't get warm up balls... Seriously? I paid for the balls with my booking. That costs another 1 star. The course layout is wide and open, driver friendly. The Tee boxes aren't in a nice condition. I don't like to seek a spot where I can tee up properly. The fairways are ok but not great. Greens are hard, dry and fast. The back nine are pretty open, because not all spaces for housing are taken. Here and there some cranes for building which destroys the nice feeling this course could have. It could get a 5 star rating in future. But not now. Take tees number 3 for HCP 18, Tee 1 and 2 if you 17 and below. My wife played tee 5 and rated it as fair (HCP 26)

nice driving range, chipping area, and putting greens. good deal playing at twilight for $50. course was in good shape, grass looked good.. whoever is running the agronomy is on their game. green speed was pretty slow though. all staff I encountered were pleasant.. the ranger was actually keeping things moving really doing a great job. one downside is the entire course is lined with houses and there is some noise from the residents as you move through the course. i’m not a fan of golf courses surrounded by houses; they break the natural flow and distract from the game.

My husband and I have played golf here several times, and I’m getting the impression that the workers don’t want the golfers to have a pleasant experience. Recently, we brought our two kids (10 and 12) to teach them how to play golf on Sunday, May 19. Our tee time was 4:03 pm, but the employee in the store was rude to us because we were one minute late (we arrived at 4:04 pm). While we were on Hole 1, the golf cart suddenly locked. Then, an older employee (probably in his 50s) approached us and told us in a very hateful manner that we had to return the golf cart by 8 pm, because last time we played, we returned the golf cart very late.

The first time we brought our kids here to teach them how to play golf, we were having a great time and didn’t know we had to bring the golf cart in by 8 pm. We were on the 12th hole when a worker came to us and told us that we had to return the golf cart, which we did. We returned the golf cart by 8:15 pm. We understand if they needed to communicate something to us, but they were extremely hateful and condescending. We will be trying other golf courses! Panther Run is a very nice golf course, but customer service...
