Dollar General — Local services in Folsom

I have frequently been a customer that this dollar general location. My experience in the store last night with workers anita and lisa made clear to me that my hard earned dollars will be spent elsewhere. My brother and I go into the store for some items. We are standing by the hair care products when I notice a worker walking by watching us. I didnt think anything of it initially. A family friend came in and we began to talk to her in the middle of the store and I notice that the worker keeps walking by watching us despite us standing in plain view. My brother walks off as I continue to talk to the family friend and was also followed. After I was done talking, I went to go find my brother. When I located him he held his finger up and mouth to me wait. I stopped in my tracks and here come the worker again walking by watching us and at this point it was completely obvious. So I walk into the isle and say are they following us around..and my brother said yes. She had been following him around the store prior to me coming over. While I am not shocked, it stings that the color of your skin makes people assume the worst about you. Neither one of us have ever taken anything out of that store without paying. We were raised with integrity....

I have shopped this store since its grand opening many years ago and I have nothing but respect for the cashiers. They are always helpful and friendly

However, in the past couple of years it has gone from being one of the best stocked cleanest Dollar General locations in the area to one of the worst stocked, most cluttered stores in the chain. The shelves seldom have more than the bare minimum of merchandise. Instead, the majority of the stock is still stacked in the carts used to deliver merchandise to the store that are “parked” in the isles blocking access to any areas of the store.

Common items are consistently out of stock or inaccessible because of stock that has not been put on the shelves. Other stores nearby are better stocked and much...

It's convenient, of course; because of where it's at! that is UNEEDUS!!!! Maybe because it's a new store. Not really sure. They don't keep their shelves stocked the way they should be, but their cashiers that they have working there are friendly. Can't say anything bad about any of them. They've all been kind and helpful, not to mention patient. I wish they has more clothing items. Like baby/kid clothing....we have a 2yr old in potty training and i went to get him some lil boy underware but they had nothing like that on...
