Mendo Insider Tours — Local services in Fort Bragg

Our experience using Mendocino Insider Tours for our wedding transportation was unfortunately completely substandard.

We had emphasized to our guests to be on time for their shuttle pick ups using the schedule provided to us by the company. One of the shuttles was EXTREMELY late for the pickups (between 30 and 45 minutes for some of them). They told the guests that the schedule didn't make sense to them and so they made their own schedule up. This led to a ton of confusion on the wedding day. Some of the guests had actually gotten into their cars to drive themselves because they didn't think anyone was coming by the time the shuttle showed up.

One of our guests wanted to go home a little after 11 PM. The shuttle driver told him they only wanted to go back to his Airbnb one more time so our guest would have to wait until the rest of his party was ready to leave. He ended up waiting two hours later than he wanted. This is absolutely not what we had agreed. In our calls we had discussed multiple times that the shuttles would be running continuously from 10-2 AM to all destinations.

All in all, the day was a complete mess from a transportation perspective and fell completely short of the services that we had agreed to...

We used Mendo Insider Tours for shuttle services on our wedding day, and overall, it was a great experience. They were easy to work with and reliable, which made our planning much smoother.

One thing to note is that payment is done via check rather than credit card, which was a bit inconvenient but manageable. We also had to cancel one of the shuttles months in advance, and they only refunded 90%. It just felt odd not to receive a full refund given the notice we provided.

However, they were accommodating with our requests, adjusting the schedule for a group that needed to leave earlier to go to a farther area. Both drivers were super sweet and made everyone feel comfortable.

With guests scattered across 15+ accommodations, Mendo Insider Tours worked with us closely to ensure each guest was picked up and dropped off in time for our Skunk Train departure. They were on time to each accomodation, and went above and beyond to secure a POC at each stop just in case anyone was missing.

At the end of the night, Mendo Tours was flexible with drop-offs, and ensured everyone made it back to their respective accommodations or after party as needed.
