Food Lion Fort Mill is a very good representation of Food Lion as a Grocery chain. Great staff both in knowledge and helpfulness to their shoppers. Their shelves are always well stocked and orderly. I would like to see more registers opened when they are busy, but they are quick. Big parking lot, and easy to get to. But the best part are their great prices! Much much lower than the other food chains around here in the Charlotte area, with similar (same) quality name brands, just not as much of the jacking up in the prices. Very good meat department, though not a butcher that you can easily pick up something specific cut for you. There is a small Deli section and employees slicing meat for deli meats though. For Meat’s, what’s on the shelves is what you’ll get. Same for the seafood. Some people won’t shop Food Lion because it’s not “upscale enough” but that attitude is absurd. Food Lion is great!!!

Beware!!!🖐 Went in for snacks for lunch, and this store is notorious for expired items. See the photo from today for a June date on lunch size snacks. This is not the first time. Check dates! The flies in the deli section are not sanitary, and if you read up on flies, they poop on items as they fly through the air. It is pretty gross to see them on the meat cutting machine. With the price of meat , could you do something? Staff is friendly in this store, and there is a great guy who works in frozen foods who is very helpful.

Great Food Lion! Always neat, clean & organized. Much better than the Regent Park location. Friendly staff here, always eager to serve. This one is never crowded and they have WAY more stuff to choose from. Found my (hard to find) keto REBEL ice cream here! Super happy about that! Overall great grocery store.

Most of the store is great and helpful... not to forget friendly. That being said, Meat department is as unprepared and negligent as any store I have ever been to. Granted I shop around 6pm in evening because I work during the day. But first visit, I was looking for chicken leg quarters. None were available so I picked up a packaged whole chicken asking if it could be cut in half and cook two halves. I was told that due to “health regulations” they were not allowed to cut pre packaged whole chickens.?.? Well what are all the tools in your work area for??? Went and talked to competition down the road and they took care of it no problem. Trying to give meat dept a second/third/fourth chances, they have been out of items advertised in circulars on sale. I can understand that due to demand w/ good pricing but when I ask if the item I am wanting will be in stock tomorrow, I was told, “ I don’t know... I don’t do the ordering”. I worked in a meat market in college and if I ever said that to a customer, I knew I would be escorted out the door w/ my final check. Again, store is great but meat dept is seriously lacking...

This place actually sucks. Workers have an attitude and look at you like you’re stupid. I asked one guy where the rotisserie chicken is and he looked and me and asked me 3 times if I’m looking for cooked chicken and I answered him every time yes and he starts laughing like he’s never heard something like that. I go to ask the lady who’s packing the chickens to see how long it is til they’ll be ready and she’s like 5 minutes. So I stand there and wait and watch her take the rack of chickens out and looks at me and just stares into my eyes for 10 seconds. I look back thinking she’s looking at someone else. She then goes back to taking the chicken out and she under her breathe but to the point I can hear she says, “the stare on this kid”. I look at her and tell her to repeat what she said and she’s like nothing. I’m like I’m looking at you take the chicken out did I do soemthing wrong? She’s like nope I just get anxious when people are waiting. I’m like don’t worry I can wait I’m not in a rush. Get to the cashier, she scans my chicken and says 8.00. I’m like oh hi there. Thanks for greeting me. Just go to Sam’s Club...

Ordinarily, the experience here is very good, not outstanding, but good. Again, ordinarily everyone is quite friendly and since I'm here frequently some of the associates recognize my kids and me. However, I would like to strongly suggest The Food Lion corporation consider following the path of Starbucks and have its associates attend some diversity and sensitivity training. Very unfortunately and much to my surprise, I was unfairly racially profiled by Cassie the cashier during checkout. While management listened to my concerns, both the front end supervisor and the manager were patronizing and dismissive, which is also unfortunate as I used to shop here frequently but won't be returning. Cassie the Cashier appeared to be young in age and it is extremely disappointing to see these types of attitudes persist and prevail in 2018. Food Lion, educate your employees before this causes you much larger problems than just...
