I've had a nightmare experience enrolling and registering for classes at IRSC. The communication from the Financial aid office on my FAFSA was non existent. I was thinking things were taking a while to process, and after a week of waiting, i contacted Mueller campus Financial aid office (Edie Marcelle) only to find out that my FAFSA form needed correcting.
Meanwhile here i was wasting my own time thinking things were just taking a while, and the first day of student orientation was nearing, only days away at that point. There's too much to list here of what went wrong. I ended up having myself un enrolled from the program, and told them to cancel my financial aid. They were incompetent in communication, and enrolling me in.
I had given them a 2nd chance because i really wanted to attend a certain program that is not offered by any other college around this area, and tried my luck at the Main campus, and that was even worse, as i did not receive any communication back from student adviser Terry Bilak, nore from the other student adviser i contacted after not receiving any communication at all back from the 1st student adviser.
I guess they got enough cash coming in, to treat future students dispensable as they did me. I'm disappointed in learning how IRSC goes about handling things. I thought they had it together, but i was...
Read moreI love this school, this school is top on my list of best schools. I moved elsewhere and the schooling system sucked, the whole school sucked, now I plan to move back and finish the rest of my schooling here. This school is absolutely GORGEOUS for a state college. Port St. Lucie isn't the greatest of cities to be in but at least the schooling here makes it fun and desirable. I am doing the Graphic and Web Design course and I seriously recommend it for anyone who is interested in Graphic Arts. The professors are great, but there are a few you should watch out for that don't have desirable teaching skills. The staff in the school is helpful, aren't rude, and are caring, unlike some schools. The cafiteria is a great place to hangout and eat lunch, the food there is great! The fruit bowls are always fresh and wonderful, so are the cookies. There is a great diversity of people who go to this school and the schooling environment is very relaxed and calming, it makes life feel good. I suggest this school to anyone, it's just a great place to be. The price is also excellent! If it wasn't for the price and quality of this school, I wouldn't be able to come here. I am just shocked at how great the school is, the quality, and how low the price is! This is the best school so far! Thank...
Read moreTERRIBLE SCHOOL. I transferred credits from out of state. Despite other Florida state college accepting the course, this school tells me it isn't accepted and I have to wait until fall semester for them to change their mind and fix it because it does meet their criteria. In the meantime they kept pressuring me to take the same course that I already took. Their advisors constantly quit leaving me without advisors on multiple occasions and they are very condescending. As a student with a disability, they tried to deny me accommodations despite having all the paperwork. Many of their online instructors do not respond to messages. I find myself advocating for myself with no avail and the quality of education is horrendous. Look into other stage colleges. You can get a good price with better quality instructors and faculty.
Update: After they told me to submit a re-evaluation and I did it, and no one responding to me, I made phone calls. Still no one got back to me. One day out of the blue, I get a text message that my diploma is ready. Still to this day no one responded. Good news they accepted AND I was able to graduate! However, the lack of communication is ridiculous. I shouldn't have had to go through...
