On December 6th I purchased quite a few items online. Over $200 in total. I had a majority of the order shipped to the Fort Smith, Arkansas mall location. While waiting for the order to be delivered, I received an email about how the order would be arriving later than expected. When I called the store an associate answered and was doing her best to answer my questions. But another associate in the background was speaking pretty loudly and in a huffy manner about how the store couldn't help me with anything until the product was actually in store. Fine, I can understand that. The nicer of the two associates gave me customer service's number. When I called the customer service line I was told to call back in 2 hours because they were updating their computers. When I called back two hours later, they let me know that there was nothing they could do since TECHNICALLY it hadn't been over 10 days since the order was placed. Customer Service was pretty rude about helping as well.
Fast-forward to the day I picked up my order. I made a trip out of going to the mall since I had to pick up our order there and we live about 45 minutes away. When I arrived in store the two associates were pleasant and handed my order over. I went through the very large box to make sure all the items were accounted for. I then asked if I could get a bag to put the items in so I wouldn't have to carry the box all over the mall while I was shopping. The associates informed me that The Children's Place has a new policy where they charge 15 cents per bag. She told me there was no way she could change me for just a bag so I'd have to buy a shirt or something so she could also ring a bag up. I declined and left with my merchandise.
What kind of a policy is that?! I just spent over $200 between my ship to store and ship to home orders and was STILL asked to buy more so that I could get one shopping bag? I have a hard time believing The Children's Place is doing so poorly that I'd have to pay more than what I had already spent for ONE shopping bag. This should probably be addressed and exceptions be made. I'll remember this experience when I shop again and probably won't give my business to The Children's Place in the future
I tried submitting this review through their customer service email but keep getting error messages, so google...
Read moreWhile doing black Friday shopping this morning, I decided to take advantage of their 30% off offer by opening a credit card. I was approved and received the 30% off code. At checkout the code wouldn't work without my new credit card number. I called their 1-877 number and was told to sign out of my account and sign back in. I asked the representative if I would lose my items in my cart, but she told me they will be saved. My items were not saved, and she was unable to help me retrieve my temporary card number. She told me I would need to call their bank. I did, but they cannot give my card number over the phone. What a waste of 2 hours!! At that point I just wanted them to close the new account. My new card doesn't do me any good a...
