Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my bike to monkey wrench cycle. they were paid 300 to drain my gas tanks and use rust inhibitor and clean the carb. When I picked u the bike that sat there for 2 weeks, i was told the rust remover had to soak for 2 days. I picked up the bike and got less than 7 miles. My bike spit and sputtered as bad a when I took it in the shop. I tried to blow it out and get past what was caught in the carb. It rained 4 days strait. When I went to ride the bike I turned on the petcock and fuel rn out of my overflow. it was pouring. I took it to my local shop and asked what was going on. They checked it out and showed me the sludge they pulled out of my tanks. they said the sludge was built up well over a year and no way in 2 weeks could that happen. the oter shop(monkey Wrench never drained my tanks or removed the rust. maybe they flushed the carb, it did run 7 miles. they charged me $300 and 2 weeks fr a job never done. I am a lady rider and it is so screwed up to be ripped off when you pay $300 for a job a shop that actually did the work did for $132. Shame on you. So if you want to pay for a job never done, go to monkey wrench. They have no problem taking your money and lying about work not done. RIP OFFYes i could have taken it back but if they did not do the work the first time, they weren't going to do it the second time. So buyer beware. Just take it to Darrells the first time and save $170 and get it done right the first time in 5 days. Shame on you...
First thing having a flat in Texas in the summer on a Monday is about the worst experience that you can have, now Mondays there's nothing open in the motorcycle world . Mobile tire repairs for motorcycles we're all booked the tow company just wanted to play games so I was basically on my own. I found the monkey wrench cycles on the internet and I seen that it was open and then luckily it was 6 miles away , but getting it there was a big challenge . So I'm mapped out the location where I was going to go I marked ever gas station around that I could get air and proceeded to head that way of trying not to ruin my tire .going from station to station getting air and put in it I finally made it there about to 3 hours later the guys are just amazing they took my bike in soon as I got there they seen what I've been through and immediately found that it was my valve stem that had been compromised . The good thing is there was no hole in my tire bad thing is the procedure is going to be the same is changing the tire . So I went and sat in the cool air conditioned office and watch them on the video camera while they change it out and it just took a matter of minutes and I would back on the road . These guys took a bad and stressful situation and turned it into one that was much more pleasant there fast and courteous service was very appreciative and I would recommend this shop to any to have their bike worked on or just to stop by and swap short stories ....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMonkey Wrench is a great place to have your motorcycle worked on. Frank works on just about every brand of motorcycles, and is one of the few places around that you could trust for your Buell motorcycle repair.
I own a Buell and a motorcycle shop. So why would I review Monkey Wrench when I owe a shop? Thatās because none of my mechanics would work on my Buell anymore. After the third gear self destructed (or died due to some spirited riding) I took my Buell to MW to have gear box along with the engine rebuilt. The Buell came back better than new! It shifted better than new, and I mean better than new. Iāve owned over 50 new bikes, including many Harleyās and the un-names high $$$ bikes from across the pond. This Buell shifted better than any of them. Shifts precise and never missed the second gear! I ask him if he used any special parts - he just replied that he used stock HD parts and a lot of special care along with his experience that goes into all his tepair work.
Frank definitely is a rare and dying breed of mechanic out there. There are some master tech MMI top dollar mechanics out there and there are some āparts replacerā mechanics out there that could charge $20/hour. If you want your bikes done right at a reasonable price, Monkey Wrench is the...
