TAQUERIA INSURGENTES — Restaurant in Fort Worth

First time here after it was recommended by a friend. The restaurant shares a building with the Shell gas station although it does have its own separate door. Very clean and neat, simple menu hanging from ceiling. They have limited meat varieties but I went with 3 Barbacoa and 3 chicharron. Both were pretty good, but what made them even better were the home made tortillas. They were very fresh and complimentes the meat perfectly. My wife orderes gorditas with pastor and they were ok, pretty noticeable flavor of cinammon. Too much for my liking. They were both served with green salsa which was good and creamy and just enoigh spice.

Drinks you have to buy from the convenience store thats in the same building but the restaurant did have agua de sandia to offer at the time I went.

Overall good taco spot just needs...

The food was ok (chicken burrito) 🌯 but seriously overpriced. I paid $12.61 (prices not listed on the menu when you walk in which is very sketchy and shows they can change the price on you and you'll never know) for a chicken burrito which was very very expensive and it wasn't even that big or full. The portion was not a generous portion for that very high price. There are no prices on the menu when you walk in. I will not be returning to this place. I can't believe I paid $13 and didn't even receive a very large burrito at all. This is probably the most expensive burrito I've paid for out of all the taquerias I have visited all through the metroplex. The food was good and fresh but I will not be returning to buy from this restaurant again.

La comida estaba buena, pero sinceramente muy cara. Pagué $12.61 por un burrito de pollo, lo cual me pareció carísimo, y ni siquiera era grande ni estaba bien lleno. La porción no fue generosa para un precio tan alto. No hay precios en el menú al entrar. No voy a regresar a este lugar. No puedo creer que pagué $13 y ni siquiera recibí un burrito grande. Probablemente es el burrito más caro que he pagado en todas las taquerías que he visitado en todo el metroplex. La comida estaba buena y fresca, pero no volveré a comprar en...

I don’t know how these guys are rated so high. This was the worst Mexican food ever.

The rice tastes fishy.

The tacos are super greasy.

The chicken quesadilla have little to no flavor.

They charge extra for hot sauce...
