Our hike in Bryce Canyon with Oscar was the highlight of our trip to Utah and Arizona! It is a 5 to 6 hour guided hike through Bryce Canyon with a 700’ elevation gain which is approximately 50 stories on my Fitbit! You are hiking for approximately 4 of those hours, as there is travel time between base and Bryce. It is not for the faint of heart however, I am a casual hiker, and Oscar made it eminently doable! He is knowledgeable about all things flora, fauna, geology, and animal life in the park giving fascinating and little known facts the entire way ( which also helps greatly in distracting you from the rigorous climb!) He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and warm. He knows instinctively went to stop in the shade to give you a break during the climb. We could not have enjoyed our time more! And the sense of accomplishment you feel at the end is amazing. He also takes wonderful pictures and instructs you where to take the best pictures yourself. As an added bonus, he took us on a second hike to a secret waterfall in the park, which was amazing. I cannot recommend this company and Oscar more! We could not have done better with any other tour company in the area. We took a private guided tour of Bryce Canyon with Drew. He is the best! Enthusiastic and engaging, he knows everything about the geology, flora and fauna of Bryce. He actually grew up right in town there and did a good part of his Scouting in the Canyon. Knows the name of almost every hoodoo! He has a culinary background and can recommend restaurants throughout the Southwest. Having had such a great time on this tour, we asked Drew for a recommendation and immediately booked the three hour e-bike tour of Zion two days later from Bryce Canyon Scenic Tours. This is a great very "fast" moving tour through the park. We met our wonderful guides, Lillian and Ina at the company's office down the block (I'm a NYC boy) from the park entrance. The bikes are easy to handle, and powerful enough that there were no problems at all for anyone in the group going up any of the hills in the park.
