For as long as I remember I've wanted to become a veterinarian. Before I even knew veterinarians existed, I wanted to be an animal doctor. My journey has been long but near completion as I begin my fourth year at CSU's veterinary program. Nothing has slowed my pursuit of becoming a general practitioner but I've hit a lot of resistance from the current culture. I've felt pressured and shamed into thinking that I should not "settle" as a GP and instead strive for more as a specialist. It's instantly applicable and rewarding with no investment in any...
Read moreThough I do my best to avoid superlatives, nothing has had a greater impact on my career - on my role as a veterinarian - than this medical acupuncture course. It has changed my approach to physical examination, surgery, knowledge of anatomy (making me a better if more reluctant surgeon) and the recommendations and the treatments that I offer my patients. The sheer amount of information and simultaneous therapy using nothing more than my hands ensure that I - and the way that I practice veterinary medicine and surgery - shall never...
Read moreI recently completed the SA acupuncture certification course, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The instructors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive and kind. The course content was thorough and well-organized, providing both practical skills and in-depth theoretical knowledge. The positive, welcoming atmosphere made learning enjoyable, and I feel confident in applying what I’ve learned. Since incorporating acupuncture into my practice, I’ve seen a remarkable improvement in my patients’ quality of life. Highly recommend this program to anyone looking to pursue...
